15.7 - Google It
Launched in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google was originally the search engine for Stanford’s website (with the domain google.stanford.edu). Read a book with a word in the title/subtitle that contains at least two sets of identical letters. The letters must be found in a single word. They do not need to be sequential. Ex:
Pretty Little Wife (Little - LL, TT)
The People We Keep (People - PP, EE)
Transcendent Kingdom (Transcendent - TT, NN, EE)

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3693 comments Is it okay if its only a one-word title with two letter pairs? I'm thinking of Legendborn - two Es, two Ns

Thanks.

Correct. Hyphenated words are one word. That title works.

Robin P | 1627 comments I'm not sure where to go with this question. I will be reading Minnie's Sacrifice which I have on Kindle as part of the complete works of this author. When I look up "All Editions" on GR, there are many with none being a mmpb as far as I can tell. (It's not something that has been popular, except back in the 1800's.) Some paperback editions are over 100 pages and others aren't. I don't know if this is more of a librarian question. There is a thread for books that exist only as ebooks, but that's not the issue here. Can I use this book with one of the paperback editions that is over 100 pages?

Same issue for her other novel - Trial And Triumph, most of the paperbacks are over 100 pages, but not all.

Here's how to figure out what page counts we use for ebooks. From the Rules of the Challenge:
#7: If you read an ebook, or audiobook use the page count for the mass market paperback if one exists. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardcover edition.

>If there are multiple editions in a format:
From the editions page (click all editions on the main book page)
Set the Format, beginning with Mass Market Paperback
Set the Sort By as "num ratings"
Use the top edition result to determine the page number for ebooks and audiobooks
If there are no editions in MMPB, reset with Paperback and the same sort (num ratings). If there are no paperback editions, reset with Hardcover and the same sort (num ratings). If there are no print editions the ebook or audiobook may not be used for a task requiring a page number

Following the procedure for Minnie's Sacrifice reveals there is no MMPB (Mass Market Paperback). Reset to Paperback and the first one listed is: Minnie's Sacrifice. At 72 pages, this book could only be used for the one book between 80 and 99 pages 5-point exception.

ETA - At 72 pages, it's not eligible for points in the SRC.

Robin P | 1627 comments Ok, thanks for the speedy response. There is a collection of 3 of the books put together so I can use that.
