Katie Pham “Cruella” is a live-action movie based on the origin and upcoming of the Disney villain, Cruella de Vil. It shows an insight about why Cruella is who she is and about what happened before the storyline of “101 Dalmatians” takes place. In addition to seeing Cruella, we see how she met her two henchmen, Horace and Jasper. We also get to see Anita Darling and her relationship with Cruella before the conflicts that can be seen in “101 Dalmatians.”

I actually enjoyed this movie! Growing up, I wasn’t really into “101 Dalmatians” that much, but this film was quite captivating. I loved the scenes when Cruella was showing off her fashion pieces and when she was making her grand entrances. I also really liked the character dynamics and development. Cruella showed many instances of self-growth and acceptance that made her even more confident. Some of the other characters like Horace and Jasper were really good at pulling funny lines and creating comedic scenes. Since there was this mix of comedy, extraness, and brilliance, it was easy to watch. The plot wasn’t complicated, and it was very interesting to learn about Cruella’s backstory. It makes me curious as to why she seems so evil in the “101 Dalmatians” movies. Anyway, I recommend this movie if you want to watch something fun and luring!
