i love participating in group challenges in other groups, and i would love to create one for the group! any ideas are welcome. we could do one that goes until the end of the year (like a tackle your tbr), or we could do ones that are themed for the months (like a spooky reading challenge in october). would you guys be interested?

i think it would be fun to do maybe a longer tackle your tbr and then maybe some shorter ones during the month. or possibly do some readathons!

Sarah (bibliophiliac2709) | 3 comments some great ideas here - particularly love reading a book published the year you were born.
was thinking other themes similar to colour covers could also be
* book titles that mention animals
* book titles that mention numbers
* read books through the alphabet - so 1st title starts with A, then B. do this for a month and see what letter you got up to.

and of course the themed writers by month they are celebrated - LGBTQ month, Black history month, halloween, christmas etc..

also thought - how about a secret Santa but with authors? so we all give the name of our favourite author to the admin, the admin swaps them all around and we are given someone else's author to read.

1 - read a translated work!
2 - read a book from a genre that you've never really explored before
3 - read a book that's been on your tbr for over six months
4 - read three books by authors of color from different countries!

1. Read books that have been published before 2018 AND are already on your TBR list or pile.
2. Read books being made into movies or tv series.
3. Read one award winning book.
4. Read a mystery book.
5. Each month has a fairytale assigned to it, and you can choose any retelling of that fairytale to read , or read the original fairytale
