Reminiscence is a movie directed by Lisa Joy and released in August 2021. It takes place in a futuristic town where many things are different from the world we know today (you would have to watch it to discover the various ways). I could watch this movie again, but I do not think I would be as intrigued or have the same emotions as I had it the first time I watched it. Some of the stars in Reminiscence include Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, and Thandiwe Newton. Bannister, played by Hugh Jackman, is in search of someone that has gone missing, and Bannister went through many lengths to find them. In my opinion, it was interesting to see what was going to happen next, as there were different twists and turns, and you never truly knew what would transpire. In some instances, I would think I knew what would happen, but I was mistaken.
Moreover, I would rate it a 3.8 out of 5 as it was a pretty good movie; however, for my taste, I would have liked more action throughout the movie. It is still an enjoyable movie as it has actors that I have not seen before and actors that I am familiar with. Furthermore, Hugh Jackman is an actor I enjoy watching as he stars in the X-men movies, and I feel like he commits to his roles, like he did in Reminiscence. Along with Hugh, I also relish watching Thandiwe Newton and Rebecca Ferguson as they are strong female actresses. Both were also involved in the Mission impossible series of movies, so I was interested in watching them in Reminiscence. All of the actors did fairly well in bringing the film to life and evoking curiosity. Additionally, I would recommend watching the trailer first and seeing if it interest you before watching the movie, as the trailer gives details that may interest a potential viewer. I would also recommend this to people who fancy thrillers/mysteries.
