“The Vault” is a movie about an engineer who joins a crew of really experienced thieves to steal lost treasure that is hidden under the Bank of Spain. The place where the treasure is hidden is pretty much an impenetrable fortress. They have to figure out how to get into the bank, get more information about the fortress, and then figure out how to break in. This requires a lot of wit, critical and logical thinking, and problem solving. There are many risks in their plan because if one thing goes wrong, it can cause them all to either die or end up in prison for a long time. What makes this plan so difficult is actually getting into the fortress and carefully taking the treasure because there are many booby-traps.
I enjoyed this movie because I found it interesting to see the characters’ thought processes as they try to figure out what to do. I liked their innovative solutions to certain problems. I also really liked the amount of suspense in the movie. First off, they have to pull off the heist in a matter of minutes with no room for mistakes. There is a lot of suspense and adrenaline from this and the fact that they are trying to pull this off during a match in the World Cup. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept me engrossed in the plot. So, I recommend this movie for those who like watching heist movies!
