Chris Millington | 202 comments Would someone be able to point me in the direction of policy on who should be the author of travel guides? I can see some discussions but can’t see any decisions and there is nothing in the Librarians’ Manual.

A lot of guides have individual authors but a substantial number have the publisher or series - Thomas Cook, DK Travel Guides, Rough Guides etc. as the main author, with differing approaches for different editions of the same title.

Also, if it should be individual named authors, what do you do if subsequent editions are revised by different authors from the original edition? Thanks.
