TART Challenge - Round 4 - Chapter Chicks (9)

I'm okay with either, but I'm going to check my books to see if I have anything planned that is published Sept - Dec.
I'm assuming the year doesn't matter.

yes, year doesn't matter.
I have some ready in every month but would like to read one In December if should be possible.

Btw: I think you did (are doing) an awesome job, and am glad that you are our captain. I would have never thought to do everything that you've done to make this easier for all of us.

That book was first published on September 25, 2018 - so if your team selected September that book works. The first edition Kindle page count is 324 - from the edition published on October 15, 2018. That is the earliest dated Kindle edition.

I can take on #3 and #4. I just finished doing this for the challenge MKat just closed out. Based on how she worded things in the write it, it's the same format as we had for that challenge. I still have a copy and paste down for it.

Mony I'm updating your post to link to the first Kindle Edition for your book. The Pub date and Page Count remain the same as you have noted. It only changes the cover. I know MKat was looking for Kindle Editions in her last challenge, I would just like to stay consistent with that for our links, pub dates and page counts. It makes it easier for Kat to check and verify.

Review: Another great addition to the Sex, Love & Stiletto series. Grace & Jake were great characters with lots of slow burn chemistry. Grace's co-workers/girlfriends were fun to watch as they help her seek love again "post-cheating-fiancé". Loved reading about Jake - hot, sexy, and over time a wonderful book boyfriend. Reads quickly.

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: This was a fun and flirty read. It was a bit too insta love for me though. I needed a bit more angst, but overall it was a sweet read with fun characters. Brynn was adorable and Tom with his manly hands fit the bill. Will continue on with the series at some point.

Review: This is a fun rom com of a read and the last in the Happy Cat series by Pippa and Lili. I love this book the most as it reads a little as a love letter to Pippa's Marine Husband. Overall it ties the family stories together nicely with the O'Dells all finding their happy endings, along with tying off loose ends for the zany characters that make up the small town of Happy Cat, and of course, everyone's favorite racoon George Cooney.

Review: This was so much more than I was expecting. I was expecting this fun, flirty, rom com. This was that but so much more.
Naya, Naya, Naya. This woman. I couldn't imagine going through what she's been through. I felt her through this entire book. When she was happy I was happy, but when things were sour for her I felt that to my toes. If you would have been in the room with me you would have seen me covering my mouth in some scenes, talking out loud at others, or smiling wide at some.
Jake. He was a breath of fresh air, and I could feel the connection between him Naya from the beginning. I was so glad that he was able to be that little extra she could count on. Did she need him? No, she was a strong capable woman, but he helped her come out of that shell that someone else place her in, and she was struggling to get out of alone.

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: This was a great start to a modern day pirate story. It took me a bit to start liking Poseidon though. By the end of the book I was kinda hating him again. A true anti hero.
Ashley was a strong character, but I'm not sure if she has the gusto to take on the king of sea. She tries though so gotta give her credit for that. Some parts broke my heart and then other parts kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read more of their story.

Review: When I started this book, I wasn't sure I'd like it. But the story & Flynn, an underground fighter, weren't what I expected. Lauren sums it up: “...when I first met you, you seemed really…obvious. And you’re not". Yea, it might be easy to stereotype Flynn but he's so much more. He openly enjoys BDSM with weekly partners & no strings attached. But he's also intuitive, respectful, caring & speaks with raw honesty. As Lauren enters his world, we see how she copes to make sense of this man & her new experiences.

Review:I've been reading this series all out of order, but I am in love with it. This is the fist time I am reading the first book in the series though. The main characters, Reagan and Lincoln appear in several of the other books, however they feature a lot in the last book I read which was Paxton's book. This is a long way of saying - I completely forgot that a huge part of Reagan and Lincoln's story is that she almost dies. I was at 72% in when it hit me. Which is when I also realized that this book was going to be one heck of a cliff hanger as Rea and Linc are STILL tiptoeing around each other at this point, AND the book is only told from Rae's point of view. All the 18 yo youngest child overachiever in an overachiever famly angst and drama. The book actually was a good read. I liked seeing the guys prior to their own books and seeing how their personalities are starting to shine. I also like that this book DID focus on Rae and her passiolns and her life. Another takeaway form this author overall is that this series has had two STEM female characters who are very set and determined with career goals and not in getting caught up in sports or the sports craziness. And the other two females that I've read in the series were an investigative reporter and a psych major who were focused on woman centric issues in male dominated fields. The author does a great job of layering a lot of smart driven ladies in her college aged football romances. That's why I gave this book the 5 stars.

So definitely not a night for reading.

Ooh...congratulations Shan ~A!!
Take the time you need to enjoy your family!

Yay, congrats to you 💙

Congratulations! Enjoy!

Review: Taryn and Trey make a deal to ensure that his pack has the backup needed in case of an attack. It is an uneasy alliance between them, but the chemistry is off the charts.
For Taryn this deal gets her out of her indifferent father's house and out of a mating that she doesn't want with an a-hole alpha. For Trey this gets him possible connections to ensure that his pack has support if his uncle tries to attack his pack.
They both ended up with more than they bargained for and it was one hell of a ride getting there.
The thing I loved the most about this story is that I felt that these could have been real wolf shifters. The pack dynamics and the descriptions of life as a shifter by this author felt real to me in a way I have experienced in a while or possibly ever.

Hah...you made my heart happy...

Oh Maggie, sorry to hear he got hurt. Glad you have a paediatric hospital nearby...so he'll get very good care. If you can, please let us know how things go.

Maggie, I hope your son isn't hurt too badly! My youngest played football and I remember all too well the trips to urgent care. Oddly, his worst injury happened on hi sway to practice - not on the field. His chain came off his bike and he went over the handle bars. Stitches and a broken jaw - so that is what I was thinking as I read what you are dealing with tonight. Hope it isn't too bad. 🤞🏼

Unfortunately, the first edition Kindle page count for this book is not 161 pages, it is 132 pages. The minimum page count for this challenge is 150. This book does not qualify.
I will go ahead and assign the next task now, but this book will have to be made up before the following task will be assigned. So you (Mony) will need to read a book numbered 1 or lower in a series along with a book for the next task before the team will be assigned Task 4.
