Task 8 - 29. Read over 750 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.

Professions such as LEO, military or musicians are ok. Just don’t try to pass off a rancher and a chef as both being in the food industry - they are simply not close enough. Please include the selected profession in your completions post and to let me know how you know the book qualifies - title, precis, tags or lists, including links and any other necessary information. I need to know where to look to confirm your books. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.

Read this. All 3 of you read this.
I've read some of her other books and liked them but I think this is better than those. Its got more in it. Probably because her other books are shorter so it wasn't so rushed. Their romance develops.

Review:
So this was not what I was hoping for. I didn't like the couple at all, they just didn't appeal to me. It just seemed like the author was forcing things too much, there wasn't any real connection or buzz between them. And I didn't like the whole mystery/killer bad guy either, it was over the top and almost a caricature of a "villain". Maybe it was the author's writing style, but I just couldn't relate to any part of the story.

Review: This is the last book in the series. This book follows 2 couples. Cooper was horribly burned during a fire and meets Ginger at his family's cabin where he came to get away from everything. Isabelle & Simon broke up 30 years before and meet again. I loved this book and both of these couples.

Wow. This was such a great redemption story. Donte is an ex-con with a really dark past where he was a pretty bad guy, but he's working on changing his behaviors. It didn't seem to make sense at first that he would fit so well with a person who has a chronic illness that requires care and gentleness, but it really works. I was caught from the very start of the story, and couldn't put it down until I'd finished. Definitely a 5 star read.

First book I recall being better, this one I finished earlier in the day and I've already forgotten the ending and the book really. It just sort of stopped being interesting and engaging around 30% and I pretty much forced myself to pick it back up.
Her losing her license to practice just left a bad taste in my mouth and it wasn't the HEA I wanted and like to read. Realistic endings suck
I'll also point out I think I mainly gave this a 3 star because this book is partially set fairly local to myself...

Review: This is the final book in the series and wow! What an ending. Nothing is as it seems for poor Ellen. She has been kidnapped and sold a few times already and doesn't know who to trust to tell her the truth. I was rooting for Mischa throughout this series. Glad everything worked out eventually.

Thanks, I had a fabulous day off with some reading, lunch with my parents and time with my bf. I am hoping to finish my book in time but it will be tight as I have a hair appointment after work. Sorry, we didn't get to tackle more tasks.
