Dystopia Land discussion

I wonder if any of you actually did consider or apply for Mars-One. I know I did think about it, bu I also think life changes and we change with it and I'm not ready to commit the rest of my life to a confined space with other people.

Apart from that I really admire those 3 people for who they are and what have they achieved (personally). They are the odd balls. People don't easily impress me, but I wish I knew them in the real life!

I also think there probably will be mission 2,3,4 and so on, though I'm unsure of the whole point of those missions.

What is your opinion about it?

I love the concept and I was a kid when they landed on the moon and we all wanted to be astronauts. Neil Armstrong was the coolest man ever. However, I am now in my mid-fifties and I no longer want to run with the big dogs. I will stay on the porch. The odd thing about it is if I wanted to apply, my wife would be all for it because it is a dream. I hope they make it before I die because that would be a lifetime experience to see that again. I wish we would go to the moon again.
