27 -- Includes A Map

Ooh, nice - I've added Villager to my 'Published in 2022' section.

The Outlandish Companion, Volume Two
The Hobbit, or There and Back Again

As does the Lost Apothecary,
Mark Haddon’s The curious incident of the dog in the night-time
Game of Thrones by George R R Martin.

These books were huge when I was a teenager, but I never read them myself. Finally read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings last year, and finished Two Towers today.

A map is included at the beginning of the book. I'm using this one for another prompt but wanted to include it here too.

Good Neighbors

It's set on the island of Alderney and has a map at the front with significant places from the story marked.

Not my favorite book and kind of a waste of Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser. Most of the Swords books are collections of short stories where this one is just one collected novel and Leiber really shows how good he is at writing short stories with this one. You don't get the rogues making euphemisms and puns at each other's expense, you don't get a good exploration of Lanhkmar even though that's what the title says, and you don't even get a good use of the map...there's some travel, but nothing you really need a map to feel or understand.
What do you get then? A book with a map that doesn't strike wonder and a whole lot of midcentury casual racism.

Anyone else love books with maps? Fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, travel, true-crime — there are many possibilities for books with maps.
Remember that all of our prompts can be completed using any format of book. If you’re listening to an audiobook, you may not be able to “see” the map — but that’s okay too! As long as one version of the book has a map in it or on it, you can pick any other format to complete the challenge with.
