I have a question about the number of books we are planning to read for the month: Should we be telling you the number of books we are planning on reading for the challenge or overall?

It’s just a number you think you are going to be able to read for the challenge. If it’s one month long then that month only. For two months, however many you think you will read for both months.

Using your example of

Puzzle #1: When someone says "Titanic" I think of _______.
If we picked rose , would we all read for rose , just one of us or as many as could ?

That depends.

If your book alone can knock out the full word - ROSE - then you can do that without any help. If you had a longer answer that was multiple words, like RED AND PURPLE ROSES, but your book could only knock out one of the those words then it would be a team effort.

Do all 3 teams get the sam questions?

If for example we get 3 questions with 6 answers each , decide to do them all together , think we have answers for 10 of them ( just guessing these figures )
Do we then PM you with our 10 answers ?
Can we then start reading for the ones we get correct and keep PMing you with other alternate answers

You just reminded me to make the review threads lol that way you all get your first three questions. As for your question...

Hmm.. I wasn't thinking of giving you all the same 3 questions to start off with but maybe I will now? Lol. I have lots of questions right now and I was going to keep adding some throughout the challenge just in case people get through the ones I already have completed on my end.

As for your answers, yes you can PM me continually throughout the challenge. Once I say they are correct you can start working on them. I will add/update the answers to the review thread as well.

Yes, you will need to post on your teams review threads.

You can use plurals. Heck if you find the word within a word - you can use it. For example, rosette for ROSE. Because rose is in rosette.

Yes, you got that correct! You could use one book if you find everything for that one answer. Whether it's the title, series title, in text, etc. Get creative!

do we have to read a book for the clue we get right or any of the clues our team has gotten right? How many words can we get from one book if it matches multiple clues. for instance the drill, hammer, screwdriver etc could all be found in one book

Correct. Once you start getting your clues/answers correct, you can start reading and completing them.

So we can use the same book for several words/ answers ....do they have to be in the same question though

One book per answer. If that book can't complete that word/answer, then another book or books can be used to complete it.

For example, if you had sewing machine and you were reading the following,

The Time Machine and it works for MACHINE in title. However, you couldn't find anything to complete SEWING with that same book. Then you or someone else on your team would have to complete SEWING with another book.

If your book does work for both words SEWING and MACHINE then you can knock it out with one book.

Im using iron from puzzle 3 as an example.
The answer is iron ( thing to smooth out creases) but can we use iron ( the metal ) if we came across that in our book.
A lot of the tools have different meanings

Hi Alaina! If there is a plural word in the puzzle, do we need to find the plural? I know the other way around is fine, but in this case, I would be missing one letter, the s. Thank you!

No, you do not need to find the plural word.

Can we use both title & author to find one word

Yes, you can use title, series title, and author's name for one answer.

I know that we can use a book if we started it before November as long as we read more than a 100 pages in November but how does that work? Do we get page points for all of the pages in the book or only for the pages that I read in November?

Are re-reads allowed to be used in the challenge? I'm re-reading Crown of Midnight as a part of my goal to read the whole series this year can I still use it?
