I personally LOVE the darkling, but have frieds that say he is "abusive" and "manipulative" bu i bileve he should have been the choise.

He was manipulative. The guy had depth, and he wasn't completely bad. His motives made sense and I sympathized with him on that. But him and Alina? No thank you. He was power-hungry and manipulative. There were good parts of him, but he and Alina were not a good match.

Hailey  (hva333) I think he is/was abusive. When he doesn't get what he wants one time, he kills everybody. Although, I think that before he was The Darkling and his name was just Aleksander, I think he was a good person. Something just changed him.
