What sorts of things do you find more challenging to your readathon discipline/plans during this middle part of our event?

For me, my cats are getting BORED. They want all my attention, not just what they can get while I am listening to audiobooks. I gave them treats, and cream, and they are still dissatisfied cats.

Sarah (morr_books) | 116 comments I think I have a hard time actually remembering to stop reading occasionally post on social media. There are just too many sites, and it is a bit time consuming to post to all of them. Do others just pick a couple of sights to post to?

Catsalive | 182 comments So far only posting to this site. Probably do a Dewey & facebook post at the end.
Challenges: shopping, washing (which I'm about to hang out), getting partner out the door to golf, reading all the different posts in various locations.

Yeah, this time I'm only posting here, pretty much for the same reason you mentioned. Too much reading needs to get done and I don't want to spend too much time posting.

J. Robinson-Readersgottoread (mysterymom40) | 7 comments I finished one and a half of two short books on audio. DNFed the second one and now I am listening to a mystery. Eight Perfect Murders Not sure where it is going.....

Lena | 364 comments I think the hardest thing for me is getting tired too early. I planned a large amount ahead of time (so most items have been pretty easy for me). I'm listening to my body for the next few hours I'm going to add some streaming sessions as a break and coffee. I have the desire to read more. I'm just struggling with being tired. Fighting the good fight!! lol

Same!! I'm fighting weariness right now. I also think that my approach wasn't the correct one. I'll know better for next time.

I've got my tea and I'm hoping after a mental break I'll be back it. (fingers crossed).

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 350 comments I usually push sleep back for too long and then end up feeling slumpy for the final quarter. I had a decent amount this time around though so should be okay to push through until the end, when a big nap will be my reward :)

Yeah, the first year that Deweys expanded their activities, I got completely overwhelmed as well. Now I keep to GR. And at mid event + after the event I check out IG, FB and Twitter as well.
