Also, this is making me want to listen to the soundtrack of The Prom 😄 from You Happened for the ridiculous Promposal scene to Just Breathe later on when the girls are discussing strategies to make Liz Prom Queen and telling her not to come out to everyone because, ya know. "Note to self: don't be gay in Indiana/ big heads-up, that's a really stupid plan..." *hums* aaand now I have that stuck in my head again. Oh well 🤣

Just about to start week 1 so thought pop in for the first part.

I am in love with Liz already and her brother is so sweet, I'm looking forward to her work in with friends to become promqueen. Sound like shall be a fun journey and love her goal for college, the music and how important for her!

Promposals I always find entertaining concept, very cute but also strange if I saw in real id feel so awkward. But somehow it gives perfect sweet, romcom type feels in books 💕

I adored Liz and Macks first meeting she seems like a lot of fun. Also am enjoying all of the music aspects and friendships, look forward to reading more. On ch8 now.

I finall picked it up again for new year and as expected the writing grabbed me instantly. I think I just needed a break with December so much going on.

The romance is adorable! I loved Mack and Liz together, the moments alone together and their first kiss. The teeth and grabbing at each other just very soft and sweet vibes, they just fit so well and love the visit to the kids. Tiana and Naveen reference xx

Jordan i wasn't sure at first, when found ot what he did to Liz I was like nope don't let this guy back in. But somewhere along the way he got me and I enjoyed how he brought her out of her shell, the memories and her reminding him of the past. The first and second comments.

Gabi was similar inthat she started to frustrate me with how she was controlling, didn't consider Liz pov. But i adored how they finally came together and talked it out, finding that understanding again.

Just a very interesting read and i loved the exploration into relationships, emotions and Liz being true to herself in the end 😊

😆 Now I have some catching up to do!!! On it. Give me a few hours 🤣🤣🤣

I just got the "why are you looking at the white girl like Tiana looked at Naveen?" part. Still adorable 😆 although she should really specify at which point during the movie, cause there was a loooot of eye rolling before she looked at him all soppy 🤣

Yeah gabi came across rather selfish for majority, I didn't really understand their friendship except for being from childhood. Didn't want let go 😂

It wasn't what I was expecting I feel, but I loved it for that. I think i expected more focus on the prom aspect and while many related events etc, all seemed moreother stuff. But that worked for me, as the prom parts were so strange for me at points.

Especially them dressing up and covered in blood, playing dead as present example impact for drunk driving and the police/firefighters such there as some sort of common event every year for prom. Seemed ridiculous 😂

Totally ridiculous! I don't understand this obsession. All the crazy stuff they make them do? I mean. So weird 🤣

Totally... I don't know why anyone would go that crazy over this. Ok, for the scholarship money, maybe. But oh so much fuss over a plastic crown 😆

Yes! The scholarship aspect justifys to some extent, I'd definitely understand for the money with how much student things can be. But otherwise the hype and excitement over a crown i don't get it, maybe just not the right people for it.

I can't think anything worse standing on stage of classmates from school, half of who never spoken too or even like 😂

🤣 same. Especially as an awkward teenager? I would have hated just the whole idea. Can you imagine, your awkward teenage self in a plastic crown captured for posterity in a hall of fame? *shudders*

Agree so much! Like imagining it as adult now seems awful, but thinking of my teen self just nope. Proms not a big thing here, but i didn't attend in the end because just so awkward 😂

We don't really do Prom either. We had one ball after our last year of school, and that was it.
