Karly | 342 comments Hello! Had some spooky reads for October, but not as many as previous years.

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires - Grady Hendrix. 4 stars. This was a super fun read - I love all his books

Physics of the Future - Michio Kaku. 2 stars. Did this on audio, been on the shelf for a while.

The Birds and Other Stories - Daphne du Maurier. 3 stars. Interesting to read the original story Hitchcock used for his movie.

The Universe in the rear view mirror- Dave Goldberg. 3 stars. Another audio and one that’s been on the shelf a while.

I’m Cold Blood - Truman Capote. 1 star. Idk, this just didn’t do it for me. I did have reading the physical book, half audio.

Haunted - Meg Cabot. 2 stars.

Poison for Breakfast - Lemony Snicket. 4 stars. I was so excited for another Lemony Snicket book, I loved his series of unfortunate events books when I was a kid.

Hawkeye Omnibus Vol 1 - Matt Fraction. 4 stars.

Happy reading! And happy Halloween!

Nice month when you get a few off your to be read piles!

Melodie (melodieco) | 3679 comments Have had The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires in The Pile for some time now. Need to get it read. I remember seeing The Birds when I was a little kid. My sister and I sat there with our coats over our heads for a good bit of the movie!!
