Abby Burrus | 77 comments The book that suddenly made me realize how much I loved to read was The Mouse and the Motorcycle I wanted to read it all the way through, that was my goal, which at the time seemed very big to me. But then... I read it through so much faster than I thought I would and well... The rest is history lol.

Emily(Marauders version)🎧⭐️ It’s kinda of weird but I don’t know if I remember this, or I just think I do bc my parents told me about it, but I was about 2-3 and I was reading a board book about Sesame Street lol i can’t even remember the name of the book but it might have even been the first book I read by myself as well! Which means my parents probably told me about it and I’m just remembering wrong xD

I know, I'm like that too sometimes! I'll think I remember doing something when I'm really young, but then I become unsure whether it was me remembering or just me thinking I remember from things my parents said or from photographs lol

message 85: by Emily (new)

Emily Reed The first book I remember reading is The Wind and the Willows and The Tail of Emily Windsnap! But the book that actually got me into reading was Keeper of the Lost Cities when I was 12!

message 86: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany I fell in love with books from a very young age. Can't remember the first book that I ever picked up but I do remember going to the library with my mum and always taking out the Peter Rabbit books. My mother would read them out to me before I could read the books for myself, and I still love them. Even though I am in my twenties, I still have these books on my shelf since they are a piece of my childhood that holds very special memories.

My mother said that she thought it was adorable watching me carry these little books around or putting them carefully into the wagon so that we could take them home. I was upset when the library made the decision to get rid of the edition of the Peter Rabbit books that had the entire series included. However, my great grandparents gifted me the book a few months later since they saw it at the library book sale and was like 'Wait, this book is something that Tiffany loves'. Still have that book on my shelves, lol.

Glenn Wilson, | 25 comments My parents had 8mm movies of my pulling encyclopedias down from a shelf and “reading” the entries before I could walk. Did that a lot but it became a obsession when I learned to understand the funny print characters.

Laura Ingalls is the first book series I remember reading but I know I was reading before that.

That's why those are still some of my favorite books. They're nostalgic since I can still remember some of my thoughts when I read them back then.
