Haha nice, I do the same things sometimes ;) . . . it rarely ends well lol. But good luck getting through all those!!

Rose Herondale-Greenbriar | 302 comments lol, once I took out 23 books abd the same thing happened. They should start putting a limit on our cards.

That sure is a problem XD I think my library finally put limits on the amount you could check out... Or rather, lowered them. I want to say you used to be able to check out 50 books at a time XD

Thank you! Many of them are for various challenges my GR bookclubs are holding. So yeah, hopefully I can get through them before too long... lol

message 223: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany There are no books on top of my bedside table, but inside on the shelves I've got a few.

1. The Toilers of the Sea by Victor Hugo
2. The Last Englishman - The Story of Hereward the Wake by Hebe Weenolsen
3. Final Solution: The Fate of the Jews 1933-1949 by David Cesarani
4. The Woman in Black by Susan Hill
5. The Nun by Denis Diderot

I did use my nightstand/cupboard as a place where I stored all my Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes books, but since I got a new bookcase to show off all my favourite books/authors, I have since moved them to that shelf where they can be seen.

Would be interested in knowing the titles of the Dear America books you have. I have most of the Dear Canada books and am looking to find some really good Dear America books but draw up a blank when trying to find one of interest.

Lily, I haven't gotten to it yet. I wanted to this summer, but had some other reads crowd it out. I have a friend who loved it, so I look forward to getting to it.

Shannon, me too! That's why they are there (vs. on a shelf) patiently waiting for me to work through them.

message 236: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Sulkowski | 626 comments I added a few to mine…

“Were You There? Find Yourself With Jesus” - Paintings by Ron DiCianni Stories by Neil Wilson.
….This book has phenomenal paintings and stories to really help you personalize the stories in the Gospels
The next few books are about biblical astronomy (aka my PASSION!)

“Mazzaroth: Or The Constellations” followed by “Mizraim: Or Astronomy of Egypt” both By F. Rolleston These are both over a century old and the print is difficult to read. I literally need a magnify glass. Both are necessary for biblical astronomy 🔭

“The Witness Of The Stars” By E.W. Bullinger
FULL of great information

“Astronomy and The Bible” By Donald B. Deyoung
…this one was a free book at the market and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet

message 239: by ✨ tazannah - not accepting friend requests ✨, ⭒spiritual leader⭒ (new)

✨ tazannah - not accepting friend requests ✨ (tazannahgresheld) | 7226 comments Mod
Are you on the app or website? You can't add it on the app, but on the site, whenever you comment, it says "add book/author" in BLUE letters above the box.

Once you click that, there's an option at the bottom where you can add a book title OR cover. Then search the book, and click "add"

Then just comment!!

(Just make sure your cursor is where you want the book title/cover to appear in your comment)

I think it's a great feature, but the covers come up quite blurry, so I prefer the link. (At least blurry on my phone. Can't remember if they come up blurry on my laptop.)

message 242: by Shannon (new)

The Penderwicks on Gardam Street

message 250: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Sulkowski | 626 comments Mazzaroth (it’s a book about the constellations and how they are in the Bible)

The little book of Hygge (I highly encourage everyone to read this book! It’s the Danish secret to happiness)

Shady Hollow (i’ve mentioned this book before but it’s a murder mystery where all of the characters are woodland creatures. The vibes scream autumn aesthetic)

The gigantic histories of middle earth volumes 1, 2 and 3 (i’ve had these books for years but never read them!)

A book full of postcards done in the Vincent van Gogh paintings (he is my favorite artist)

The lost art of reading nature signs a. (I need to be able to navigate through my forest 😂)
