Yes, reading in bed is my absolute favorite now!

a v a (httpswwwpinterestcomdoubleaa373) Yessss!!! We have a really comfy porch swing so it's really nice if the weather isn't incredibly humid and there aren't a million mosquitoes sucking your blood. Then it's very pleasant.

Lol, yeah, I enjoy it! Granite ones are my least favorite though, it's a little hard. It's really relaxing usually.

Lemon wrote: "I like to read outside in places. Usually Dr. William D. Young memorial. Reading at my apartment is last resort."

That's interesting! I love listening to audiobooks outside, but I always find myself distracted when I try to actually read a book in a park or even in my backyard. That doesn't happen to you?

Guardian Of The Flowers I have a little area in my bookshelves I built my self.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

I have this really big comfy chair in the corner of my room; so I'll curl up there with my book :)
Or on my bed....
Or outside... (we have this cute bench out in the pasture under a tree and i wish i could read there but the goats will try to eat my book or climb up beside me.)

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

🤣😂 Reading with a little baby goat in your lap is one thing. 5 nearly full grown goats trying to jump on the same bench- that's a whole different story!

the hardships of being a bookworm.....

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

okay guys while we're on this topic: (hardships of a bw)
Has this ever happened to anyone?

You're outside reading; it's the perfect spot on the perfect day - totally absorbed in your book. Who knows how much time has gone by? You're just in your book, not looking around...Suddenly a big, fat raindrop (followed by several more) splashes onto the page. Before you know it, you're running to the house, trying desperately to shield your precious book. When you get inside, your family members give you looks like , "she reads in the RAIN!?!"

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah!! I'm not alone!

I thought you were going to say that you sat outside all day absorbed in your book and it only felt like a few minutes. Then you look up, and somehow the sun has set without you noticing.

Okay, so I don't know if I just have very - ummm - interesting reading habits, but does anyone else read while they cook?

Celia (cealcrest) | 138 comments Sydney wrote: "Okay, so I don't know if I just have very - ummm - interesting reading habits, but does anyone else read while they cook?"

I read while cooking if I'm stirring or chopping something mindlessly for more than a couple minutes, but usually I'm cooking two or three things at once. I've been cruising through audiobooks on driving, house chores, and gardening though! :D

Here's a potentially scary question.... Have you ever done (or considered doing) a reading fast?

I'm planning to do a week-long entertainment fast (including no TV/social media/movies/reading) in the next month or so and I'm curious: does anyone else have any experience with something like that?

message 94: by Elizabeth (new)
