This isn't really faith related, but is the Maze Runner a good series to read?? I didn't know where else to ask
I read the first book, but my sister told me I shouldn’t need the rest because they weren’t good. But the movies were really good! After I watched all the movies, she told me what she didn’t like about in the books and I agreed with her that the movies were way better.
I think one thing I wish I knew a few years ago, is that everything seems to be going downhill, or people don't like you or stuff like that, is God is in control, and He is gonna put every thing in place.
Another thing is, like sometimes God uses how people treat us, or how things turn out to show us something.

that's good advice and is very true, the devil is always out to get you. as Christians we must stand in our faith no matter what :)

Do you think it's bad to hate the devil? Because sometimes I like HATE, hate him and idk if that's good or not. I know we should focus on loving God instead of hating the devil, but is hating him itself bad? It's better than being passive to him right? Because if you kinda forget about Satan, then he can basically do whatever he wants with your mind.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Always keep delving into scripture. Not just the book, but learn the context. Look up the archaeology. Ask the tough questions. Keep learning.

Lily; you have such an inquisitive and delightful mind with the questions you ask and how you want it to help others be encouraged and get to know one another:) .... One question that I will touch on for now is when people are rude or mean. The Bible verse from Proverbs regarding a soft answer turns away wrath has always rang so true. When a second person loses his or her cool as well, tempers can flare and a whole situation can escalate! It's not easy at all at times to not respond in anger.....I think of it as defusing if possible, how I act is a reflection upon myself; I can't help it if others are they way they are. I aim to be as gracious and classy as possible as humanly able. Ask the Lord for patience and wisdom++ to help us navigate :)

Motivation is sometimes anything but easy to find, especially when you're doing things like homework or cleaning. So here's how I stay motivated, and I wish I would have known this two years ago.
If I'm struggling to get things done, the first thing I do is analyze why: is it because I'm tired? bored? frustrated? etc.
Then I analyze what I need to do to fix that. For example, if I'm tired, which is usually the case, I will do something I've heard people call a "nappucino." this is where you drink a cup of coffee and then nap for twenty minutes. This always leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for action.
I get a lot more done now because I've learned to figure out what I'm feeling and what I need to do to feel something different about a certain task.
Part two is this: figure out what motivates you. For me it's epic music and having a story to tell while I'm doing it. I'm definitely a writer. XD Basically, I figure out a story and then roleplay it while I'm doing homework, and that keeps me motivated.
I know. I'm weird.
I am sooo sorry guys that got really long. Thanks for coming to my tedtalk!

Motivation is sometimes anything but e..."
That's great advice.
Something that motivates me to do things is spending time with family. And I mean like aunts, uncles, cousins - that type of family. I don't get to see my extended family a lot, so when I do it's really special. They motivate me to do things, like my aunt motivates me to read, my cousins motivate me to be a better example (I'm the oldest on my moms side), and my uncles all help me get in a good mood (they're all funny).
Being with family helps with so many things, don't isolate yourself in your room. Spend time with your family, talk to your parents, and through the ups and downs they'll be there for you.
That ended up being a lot longer then planned.

That is really great!! I think I tend to be more... passionate? emotional? so sometimes when I'm really angry it's really hard to hold that back! But that's where self-discipline comes in, I suppose!

Actually yes, I've connected with family members and had a lot of fun this Thanksgiving. Family is a great thing, don't take it for granted.

Being a Christian isn't simply a causal thing. It's a commitment.

YES! annnnnd a relationship!
Try hard not to offend, and try harder not to be offended.

Good quote!!
Good quote!!

That's a good one!
Life is an infinite mess that resembles continuous tides in the sea. The best thing we can do is struggle and fight for our lives to reach shore, or never make it at all. We must fight the tides. We must live.
When a crisis comes, we can never handle it. The crisis feels like it handles US. The best thing, the right thing, to do is keep moving forward. And it's okay to lose hope. You might fall, lose a tooth, hurt your shoulder--but the important thing is to get back up, or you'll die. We must keep climbing. We must be strong.
And what happens when you give completely up?
Surrender yourself to Christ.
For God to truly help you, you must accept the ugly truths about yourself. Admit your sins. Admit all the bad things you've done and said and thought of. Surrender yourself, and fully have faith in God. Don't believe, have faith. There's a difference. Soon a thought or two might come to you to tell you how things should be done from now on. Most of the time, it comes from God's wisdom entering your mind. But if that wisdom is modified a bit by you, like "Okay I'll do this, BUT..." it wouldn't work. There cannot be any buts. That's why you must surrender yourself, abandon ideology, read the bible, pray for your sins to be washed away, devote yourself to fix yourself, pray for God's strength, and so much more. And don't think it's gonna work in an instant. It never does. It takes time, so fight the tides.

Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!

Yeah… me too. It’s sometimes hard to make the first move on people you don’t really know or just even if you don’t want them to stop talking to you! I know I too, am guilty of not sharing the gospel with people who desperately need it… and standing up for my beliefs too. I’ve been praying for those people that they might’ve observed be and other Christians and wondered what made us so joyful that we might help them!

Archy, this is amazing. Thanks so much for writing this. It's so true tho.

Amen to that!
