Craving a hot drink and being uber excited to drink it only to get caught up in something else and stumble across a cold mug of blech later on. I do this to myself all the time.

Lol yeah I do that with other things too XD

message 456: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol I do that with tea. I make one, then I go to do something else, forget about the tea and then realise oh no its gonna be cold, and its so ughh

message 457: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 2063 comments Yesss! But then I drink it anyways because I want my caffeine. 😆

This is exactly why I drink hot drinks so quickly. People are always shocked at how fast I drink coffee and tea, but it is so that it doesn't have time to cool off. My FIL will sip on the same cup of coffee all day long! And my grandfather used to make a pot of coffee in his workshop, drink it al day, then continue drinking it the NEXT DAY with SAW DUST laying on the top of it.🤮

Alison | 1641 comments When you have that sudden desire to go back to a time when you didn't have your favorite book/movie in your life so you can read/watch it and feel the utter joy of seeing it for the first time again. . . .😭

Yesss that's part of the reason I'm taking so long on reading books that I know I'm probably going to adore, because I want to prolong the enjoyment of them.

Hehe, @Bookworm, something similar happened to me a lot when my kids were young. I would find myself swaying back and forth in public even when my littles weren't with me! I did not realize I had developed a "swaying habit" until I noticed someone watching me in Walmart XD

Lol Yeah I'd do that sometimes before I got an adblocker and started using Brave browser XD

message 481: by Wysteria (new)

Wysteria (wysteriablack) What's brave browser?

message 482: by Abby (new)

Abby Burrus | 77 comments Wysteria wrote: "What's brave browser?"

It's a browser that's supposed to help with privacy on the internet. It has a built in adblocker, which is so handy, and keeps websites from tracking you. You can find out more at brave.com if you're interested.

message 483: by Wysteria (new)

Wysteria (wysteriablack) Cool thanks!

message 484: by Lilly (new)

Of course :)

message 486: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 2063 comments Haha. Yes!! So relatable with several actors (I haven’t seen Matrix but he plays the evil dude Red Skull in Marvel, so similar concept 😆)
And Sean Bean, is it just me or is he always the villain or at least semi-villain in a movie? (Example LOTR, National Treasure, etc)

message 487: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 1598 comments Hahah...I can relate! the whole time watching LotR I couldn't really get too attached to Boromir (have no idea how to spell his name..lol) ,not that he's too likeable in the first place, because all I could think about was him being (what's his name?) in National Treasure, like don't trust him Frodo he's done bad things before in other universes XD

message 488: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 2063 comments Yess!
Ummmm. Oh he’s called Ian I think I’m NT

message 489: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 2063 comments **in NT

message 490: by Abby (new)

Abby Burrus | 77 comments Lol never watched Lord of the Rings (yet) but I do know of one western character actor (don't know the actor's name) but I'll always not like him because he's played the part of villain or side villain in at least two westerns that I've seen him in XD

message 491: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 1598 comments Yes! Ian, that's his name and I almost put it but then some part of my scattered brain was like "No, it's not Ian, you idiot"...lol...

message 492: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 2063 comments Haha. lol hate it when the brain dies that.

When you get a new phone and discover the Goodreads app is a much more pleasant experience on your new iPhone than your old Android.🤷‍♀️

message 497: by Mary Emma (new)

Mary Emma Sivils | 638 comments Yeah, the Android app leaves a lot to be desired.
I still don't like Apple, though. Lol!

I only switched because my daughter got an iPhone and my husband has been bugging me for years to get one. The final determining factor was that Samsung changed their keyboard to be more like the Apple keyboard. I had long been a holdout because I much prefer the Samsung keyboard, so that reason went out the window. Right now, after less than 24 hours with the iPhone, my biggest disappointment is not being able to schedule texts to be delivered at a later time. I am an early riser, so that was important to me.🤷‍♀️
