On another note, I just finished listening to a lecture on Book 21 of The City of God. This statement struck a cord in my heart:
“Hell is not other people. Rather, hell is the complete inability to relate to other people, to find no way to see yourself in another or feel another’s pain in yourself. To not empathize with them. To have the barriers of self & other break down in a larger, more powerful “we.” In hell, we have no sense, let alone the possibility of self-transcendence. Hell is a suffocating solitude with no way out of yourself. And, in all this, hell is crucially self-inflicted. A condition appropriate for those souls because it is caused by their own agency.”

I keep getting scam emails on my school account, offering jobs that are too good to be true through my university, no less. I'm like obviously this is fake for so many different reasons...like typos, really? anyways. I've gotten a lot of those. and I also get "wrong number" scams through text pretty frequently. all the formula is the same. it's crazy. sometimes I call them out and they get all offended and say that they were just looking for their friend XD but those text scammers are more scary because it's easier to let your guard down with things like that

Or maybe
Those times when you are feeling somewhat stressed and you put on your headphones, select a piece of cinematic music, start to think that the whole world revolves around you, and transition into invincible protagonist mode.
Yes! Adding onto the first one, as you sit there in philosopher mode, you imagine yourself in a movie or something. lol

This!^
I usually have the problem of sitting down to read, and then immediately a family member appears out of nowhere and sits down next to me and starts up a random conversation, like about something they saw on youtube...
For real!! Then you have to be polite and listen to them!! And then when there’s a break you start reading again hoping they get the memo. 😆

That's me, but at the library lol! And all the librarians will look at me with my huge stack of books and be like, "We'll see you tomorrow!"🤣
