I'd hold it in the Shire cause Hobbits know how to party. Special guests:

Hiro Protagonist and YT, cause I'm still really into them from our current story, Louis Wu, because I think he could tell some great stories; Zaphod Beeblebrox, because he's a party animal, Valentine Michael Smith, for some deep intellectual discussions, and Repairman Jack, cause no one is cooler and he has a few nice stories too.

The first venue that popped into my mind was Callahan's Crosstime Saloon, but I have to agree that you might get a better crowd in the Shire.

I don't know who'd I'd invite. I'm tempted just to see who shows up.

I would invite Dracula, Merlin, Gandolph, Dumbledore, Han Solo, Hercules, Roland Deschain (Dark Tower) the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar (from Alice in Wonderland). And I would have the dinner party in Neverland! How fun would it be to travel to Neverland with this crowd! We would have to have special food for Dracula of course! I just want to have a conversation with all these characters! FUN!

I would definitely want to chuck a few shot glasses into the fire at Callahan's...but as far as characters--I'm busting out the heavy drinkers: Aazh the Pervect, Caramon Majere, Gimli, and the crew from Callahan's. And just for fun, we're starting with shots of Romulan ale.
