Well, this is my first time trying to start a thread for a Buddy Read so I apologize if I'm not doing this right. Hoping to start this one Feb. 14th!

And I must say I'm a little concerned because it's rated kind of low...

I have that concern too Rejane. But ive noticed the ones that are highly rated arent all that good

Hi Ami and Rejane! I'll let you know when we get going with this one. A number of my friends rated it 4 or 5 so I'm hopeful it will be a winner for me too. :)

I have to agree.. that happens a lot, this year it's all that happened with the books I have read or want to read... but I trust my friends her in GR.. we kind of have the same taste, it seems some of them rated this book high

It's dreadful. Wake up early EVERY weekend. My 15 year old can sleep until 2 if I let him.

HERE I AM, Sharon!!! I'm sorry... I'm a horrible Buddy Reader. You'll probably never invite me again. Yesterday, I spent all afternoon trying to help my daughter write an entrance essay for college. And we still didn't quite finish. Then I went to the FSoG movie last night. Had 4 cosmos and a dram of whisky... ouch. What was I thinking. So of course no reading when I got home. I'm waaaaaaaay behind. I saw that you finished the book. I'll continue at my snail's pace and discuss it with you when I'm done. I still haven't opened your spoilers yet. I will when I finish.
Please forgive my bad buddy ways! I'll try to do better next time (if you ask me).

HI KAREN!!!! Don't be silly. There is no need to apologize. I was snowbound yesterday with very little to do so I curled up on my couch with my kindle. It was the perfect day to sit and read. :)

I figured you were having a busy day. College essay's are never an easy thing to write so I know how hard that can be. Good luck to your daughter. Where is she applying too? Oh so you saw FSoG. What did you think? Thumbs up or down?

Thanks for understanding. I envy your snow days! I know that sounds crazy, but I'd love to curl up anywhere and read for hours, sounds like bliss.

And yes went to see the movie last night. Loved the book, but I have to admit it's a bit cheesy watching it acted out. I don't want to spoil anything for you if you plan on going to see it. Just suffice it to say that there were parts I loved and parts I hated. Jamie Dornan is hot, but I found his acting a bit stiff. Anastasia, I expected to hate, and I actually thought she did a great job. Totally unexpected. She was very natural, or so it appeared. I'd love to hear your take on it. Go see it and we can discuss! ;)

My daughter is applying to Pacific Northwest College of Art and Design. I think her second choice is Memphis. She is an artist and wants to become an illustrator. I can't believe she wants to go 3000 miles away. I'm going to fall apart if she goes.

Ok, now back to my book. Doing laundry and reading today, and a bit hungover. :/

Snow days are great but the last few weeks have been brutal. We will have snow on the ground until April. :/

That is so exciting for your daughter. I've been blessed to have both of mine close to home. I might lose my daughter to Europe though for Graduate school so I can kind of understand what your going through.

Ok Sharon, or Mo, I'm at about 65% now... and I HAVE TO KNOW... is there a romance in here some where? I'm loving the story, but it seems more more about Francesca's big turn around than it is a romance. I know there's a good bit left... but Dallie's current getting it on with someone named Bambi, and little Teddy is fecking 9 years old. I'm getting discouraged here. :/
