Just wondering, so if the topic, say "cutest fictional characters" which would go under movies isn't under my jurisdiction, I can't make the topic?

That's correct. That way we can just keep better track of which threads are getting created and all that. If you don't like the rule, you're welcome to challenge me, but that's how it's currently working.

I'm in the same boat - I'm going to be completely gone for a week at the end of December and then the first weekend in January for a speech tourney. We'll see how things work out...

Ok, soo Happy Holdiays AKA Vee suggested 'Homophobia discussion' and I wasn't sure what to think of that because I'm pretty sure a lot of people (Not saying all) don't exactly support LGBTQ+ which would make us 'Homophobes' (even though I don't really agree with that term) but Denali's choice since she's the head...

Austin requested an AMA (Ask Me anything). I think its a bad idea.
1. This group is for debating, not for questions like that.
2. It may make people feel uncomfortable, sure we can make rules but still...
3. We already have enough on our plates, watching debate topics and stuff but we don't need anymore mods, we have plenty i think.

Mods! PLEASE help make topics! Even if it isn't under your jurisdiction, just make it and say you did in Mod Com!! Lots of our important mods haven't been on often, so it's up to us active mods to keep up with the requests! I've been trying to keep up and i'm waiting for Denali to say if some topics are OK or not to make!

If you don't have time to make a whole topic, at least make blanks for me or someone to use!
