Such a good one!! This book was one of the 1st few historical fiction books i ever read, and it ruined me for a lot of other historical fiction bc this book is so so soooo beautiful <33

yesssss, I'll totally agree! I first read it this year and I just can't stop wondering what was wrong with me and I didn't read it earlier 😂

The ending (view spoiler)[ broke me soooo much! Why did he have to die?? He was my absolute favorite character, and I couldn't stop crying when he died... But I guess I also like it because it was a more realistic one. Although I do want them together, wouldn't it be a little bit like a stupid fairytale if they did? I mean, come on, the lived in the second world war! (hide spoiler)]
