Initial thoughts:
I don't know about anyone else here, but are you not just pulled in by this summary. How many books have a summary this short, but yet pulls so many people in? Not many! A lot of people are turned off by not knowing what they're getting into. In this case, it's just so grabbing.

Spoilers ahead--Proceed with caution!

Chapter Four
What's on the bed is a handprint in the shape of Silas' hand, so the question is, is it his blood or someone else'? They find a piece of paper with writing on it, and after testing it, they find that it matches Silas' handwriting.

Charlie and Silas go downstairs for food and there they meet his housekeeper, Ezra. (As stated on her nametag) She makes a point to say that it's nice to see Charlie around again--so they split?--

Charlie then gets a phone call from "mom." She answers and goes home to meet this stranger.

What do you think happened between the two of them? Why do they not hang around each other, according to Ezra, but are together according to the people at school?"

Chapter Five
Charlie goes home to find that she has an alcoholic mother and a sister who seems to hate her, according to her sister's diary. She shares the room with her sister.

She finds her phone and reads through the weird texts:
From her to Silas last night: "Where are you?" "Silas!"
From Amy to her: "Where r u?!!"
From Brain to her: "Hey, missed u today. Did you tell him?" From other texts, it sees like her and Brian had something going on. Perhaps messing around with both of them.

According to her sister's diary, she was crying when she came home last night. She texts Silas to get her out of there.

The mystery is just growing! In your opinion, what do you think happened last night?

Chapter Six
On his way to get her, Silas gets a call from his brother who asks to know why he's missed football practice again.

Silas picks her up and they go to pick up his brother, and speculate about this Brian guy. There they meet this Brian guy. He tried to pull Charlie away and talk to her. When she refuses, and Silas steps into help he announces that she’s been cheating on Silas with him for the past two months. They also learn that Silas and Charlie have been together for four years, so what possessed her to cheat with his own brother.

They turn around to go pick up her sister now! From her, they learn that she seems to absolutely hate Charlie and that their dad is in jail.

They scroll through images and videos on her phone. From them she learns he’s the spoiled rich kid and she’s the poor one from a bad family who acts out and makes herself feel important. They watch a video of an intimate moment between them: “Never never, Charlie.” “Never Never.” Is what they say to each other.

What do you think “Never never” means?

Tara Bond | 13 comments I love the way this is unfolding. I'm finding it absolutely compulsive reading, and I think I even prefer it to Colleen Hoover's Hopeless. The authors have done a great job of having the main characters discover snippets of who they were (are) and their lives were like before they forgot. That said, I really have no idea what went on the night before. I'm usually pretty good at guessing twists in books, but with this one I really have no idea! I would imagine Never Never is going to mean something like "never never give up on us" or "never never forget us".
