What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book around 2005-2006 in my school library, so its most likely "school friendly" (even though it weas scary as hell to me back then, hahaa). All I can remember of the book is:
1) It had a cover of those 80s-90s horror-thriller books
2) The girl he started seeing was getting weirder and weirder to him (the main character)
3) He then started getting creepy phones calls of a voice singing the "hip bone is connected to the.." song
4) The girl he was seeing ended up kidnapping him, and started breaking all his bones, only to be saved by his older brother! (crazy girl turned out to be his ex, and was getting revenge on the younger brother for being broken up with)

Maybe something in the Fear Street or Point Horror series?

see i think so too! The covers are striking something in my memory for sure, but Ive read through all their descriptions and cant find a match! I vaguely remember him maybe being a football player too? I feel like Im so close to finding this book, Ive been searching for years!
