Uh.... Don't know lol.. Like a ring was made stronger then the last... Too cliche?
How about this, (I don't know if you watched the Hobbit trilogy,) but, we can take off where they left off. Their mountain has been returned to the dwarves and Bilbo went back to the Shire. We could be our own dwarf living within the mountain, and maybe he/she uncovers a new secret within it. Or we could play as a hobbit and live within the shire, and maybe on gets tired of living the same way everyday and ventures out. And there could be elves and orcs here and there. IDK, just a though ^_^
Awesome! So are you thinking doubles? That way we can have more than just one type of race.

How about your character is a dwarf and he, along with the other dwarves have finally arrived at The Lonely Mountain, coming to the home that was stolen from them for so many years. As your guy makes himself home once again, he is enlisted in the mining jobs along with many other dwarves. As he is lowered down into this deep diamond covered mining hole, he discovers something. An elvish stone. It's smooth white surface is labeled in something, but your guys can't read elvish. This stone has no possible way of getting into this mining hole since only dwarves are allowed inside the mountain. So, your guy ventures out to find the purpose and meaning of this stone. The dwarves of the mountain sort of rebel against your guy's actions, being that some still hold hatred towards the elves.
As you guy makes his way through vast forests, he comes across one of the forest elves (me). My character, being one of the warriors from the battle of the five armies is glad to help the dwarf. She, however, thinks it would be best to take it to the elder elves and get it seen there, because the words on the stone still do not make sense to her. As the two work their way back to the elven kingdom, many dwarf hunters and orcs try to rob them along the way, because this stone holds the key to the elvish secret of their long lasting lives, a power all people want.
