I went through my reading challenge yesterday actually, to see where I came out. I wasn’t as intentional as I’d liked to have been. I think for next year I’d like to complete two of the sections, the light and avid reader. That would help me be more purposeful.
This season I usually read:
On the Incarnation
The Advent of the Lamb of God
And as a family we do:
Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas
I try and find some historical Christmas-y novels too.
Merry Christmas!

Unwrapping the Gift of Christmas is a good one! There’s something nice about advent traditions.

I checked yesterday and it is out.

It’s been stormy here. Big gusts of wind and rain. I’m happy we have a warm place to live and huddle together as family, but feel for those that don’t.
I’m currently working through a few last categories to finish out my reading challenge.
31. A book by Charles Dickens or one of his contemporaries
A Christmas Carol
35. A hardcover book
Defined: Who God Says You Are
48. A book you own but have never read
The Lifegiving Home: Creating a Place of Belonging and Becoming
I’m also reading through some kids’ books we particularly enjoy…
Too Many Tamales
The Spider's Gift: A Ukrainian Christmas Story
The Legend of Old Befana
Grandma's Gift
La Noche Buena: A Christmas Story
Do you guys have any favorites this time of year? For yourself or for the kids…
