Jeffrey (sportdisability) | 1 comments I am so excited to announce that i will be publishing my Memoir in January 2022. I have been working on this book for so long. I am looking for any advise on how to market the book. It is about my life of overcoming my learning disability to become a Division 1 football player. My book is called Disability. Jeffrey A. Berk

V.M. Sang (aspholessaria) | 230 comments As you have obviously realised, you can't produce a book and hope people will find it. There are just too many books. You do need to let people know you exist.
There are many books and courses, as well as blogs that will help you with this. It's the most difficult part of writing, I find. I'm not one to give advice as I'm rubbish at it.
However, I'm going to make some suggestions.
Reedsy is one such website. Very well thought of.
How to market a book by Ricardo Fayet, another good book.
Sally Cronin is not a marketer, but she is a wonderful person who helps writers by featuring their books on her blog, Smorgasbord blog magazine.
David Gaughran (I don't think that's how it's spelled, though) .
You need one social media platform. Whichever you feel most comfortable with, but keep it separate from any private platform.
Follow authors, especially those who write in the same genre (in this case memoirs) and comment on their posts.
It sounds a chore, but if you get organized it's not too bad.
And there are groups on Facebook specifically for book marketing.
It sounds a good read. I hope you have success with it.
