Thanks, Jan. So you liked it, but didn't love it. You're review was helpful - I may check out the ebook and try reading it to see how that goes. Thanks! (I've learned that I can be an outlier, too, for really popular books. So I appreciate hearing other voices.)

Jan | 20742 comments Teri - just an FYI - the audio group I'm in on GR LOVED the audio. I'm a really picky listener. So you might want to try the audio and decide if it's working for you. The character Enid was mostly the problem.

OK. I know some narrations others love and I can't take them, and vice versa. So I won't rule it out. :)

I've just done my review now, Teri. Had to sleep before I could type any more last night :0). I really enjoyed it & look forward to the next one, which I have from the library.

Next is Q

Patrizia | 1346 comments But are you waiting for me for the Q book? I don't have the exclusive right! Isn't there anyone who has to read a book with an animal on the cover? My next reading doesn't have it, unless a rocking horse is fine ... Anyway the cover is this: The 12 Quilts of Christmas (A Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mystery) by Arlene Sachitano

message 214: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20742 comments We all hope you will pop in with a Q book. But I'm not thinking a rocking horse with work for it Patrizia. I don't see any feet on that horse.

We will keep waiting for Q

message 215: by Patrizia, Contributor (new)

Patrizia | 1346 comments In fact I was waiting for someone to come forward ... I don't think I will read any book with a quadruped on the cover until the beginning of next month and I still don't know which one will be the first.

I'm reading Pippi Longstocking (Pippi Långstrump, #1) by Astrid Lindgren by Astrid Lindgren to my youngest grandson in the mornings while we wait for the bus. (We're about 1/3 of the way through.)

If that's OK, then the next up is Z.

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 517 comments I actually finished another aZure-colored dress book last night, so is it okay if I swap my book again and go back to my original task title? I've been unable to get to the paperback I had planned, because I was on an editing job (my free-time reading has been on my Kindle lately). I shouldn't have to swap my book this next time, as that job is done.
