Caroline | 371 comments My first body of water is All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

This one is through my library's collection and I put a hold on it now. Will read it in a month or so. I hope that is okay.

Had to go all the way to #783 to find the fifth table on my list.
Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell by Elizabeth Gaskell

message 58: by Sarita (new)

Sarita | 2288 comments So, what happens when you don’t have that number with that category? For example, one 2 or 3 books, do you select the last book on the shelf for that category?

message 59: by Charlene (last edited Jan 15, 2022 04:53AM) (new)

Charlene | 596 comments Phew…That was not an easy search. Who would have known authors don’t like tables on their covers Ha!

I will be reading Miles from Where We Started by Cynthia Ruchti #572 on my shelf. I have never read a book by this author but have been wanting too so I’m looking forward to it :)

message 60: by Andrea, Hospitality Coordinator (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 6245 comments Mod
Yes, Sarita. If you only have two table covers, go with #2. It happens like that sometimes.

I know what you mean, Charlene! I thought for sure some of my Amish books had tables, but I only saw one or two of those with tables in the mix through over 700 books.

Sad to discover that The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott is NOT Christian. I had found it while browsing a list of "Christian fiction" titles, but there are profanity (taking the Lord's name in vain) and expletives (other curse words) in it. Talk about a shocker! Hopefully I'll get it finished tonight or tomorrow so I can get back to reading a cleaner book.

Hannah, I have no idea. It was many years ago when I saw it and was intrigued by both cover and blurb, so I'm sure it was just some random oddity that it got on there. Oh well. Soon it will be checked OFF my list. ;)

Angie Thompson (angiethompson) | 157 comments Well...when I counted up to the ninth C title on my list, I didn't even recognize it or know how it got there. Turns out it was a library discard that I picked up years ago, and I had no idea what it was even about. But thanks to the challenge, I just had a hilarious read that would probably have waited on my shelves for who knows how many more years if not for this! :D
