Grab Bag (Jan 2022 - Jun 2023)
I'll be reading #53 Twelve Ordinary Men by John F. MacArthur, Jr.
I thought I had a couple of different books to read, by Kim Vogel Sawyer, but I forgot I had already boxed away the two omnibuses of hers that I have since I have the individual paperbacks too. So nonfiction it is this round! Plus, I cleaned up my list a bit to get those omnibuses out of the mix as well as a couple of books I've finished but not yet reviewed.

That library idea is a great one, Sarita!
Another idea is to substitute with your favorite format (paperback, ebook, or audio).

It would be the second book on your to-be-read list (or whichever of your personal Goodreads shelves you prefer to work off of for this challenge) that fits the criteria.
For example, if these were the first six books on my list and the call-out was "the first blue-cover book," I would go with All That It Takes by Nicole Deese (the fourth pictured book cover).
If I had already read it or did not have access to it, I could skip and choose With Wings as Eagles by Elaine Schulte (the fifth shown book) instead.

Perfect! Thank you.
Glad to help, Mary. If you decide to sign up, and we'd be happy to have you join in, you might want to reserve a few spots in a row so that you'll have room to edit and add in the books you read for the challenge, as this is a lengthy one.
You may see what I mean at the following link. This will take you to my post. Scroll down to see how I reserved a couple of extra spots so that I could keep my full challenge together.

Not looking forward to this book, as i didn't love book one (lots of content issues). If this book is like the first, i probably will DNF. :(

Perfectly acceptable, Melanie. Just let us know what page number or percentage point you stopped on and a brief reason of why (such as language, didn't mesh with the author voice, etc. -- even though you practically just did, wink wink). I consider DNFs a great chance to check off another book from our TBR.
If you do DNF it, you have the options of just moving on to the next task (when it becomes available) or selecting the next book that fits the current category (if you'd like to have a completed book for the task in your final lineup for the challenge). I leave that up to you and what reading mood you're in at the time.

Oh, Sarita, you are in for a heartbreaker! Grab some tissues, friend. I suspect you might need them with this book (and the movie, if you haven't yet seen it). I weep every time.
Full Disclosure: I am a weeper, so that's hardly unexpected. ;)

O thanks! I think I saw the movie years ago, but never read the book and John Grisham is my husband's favourite author, so I'm slowly moving through his books :-)
Aww! Sarita, I love that you're reading books by your husband's favorite author. So sweet!
Grisham used to be one of my favorites too (before I discovered Christian fiction). I particularly enjoyed The Client and The Rainmaker. As with all of his books, they are general market with negative content. But he does know how to spin a good legal suspense tale.

Yes, I usually put my general market hat on when I read his books :-)
Sarita, you and I are so similar there. I always remind myself if the book is GM before I open it. :) I still make note of negative content for my reviews, but the mindset is slightly different going into the reading, because the book(s) isn't geared toward Christian readers. I try to take that into account.
Here's the next Grab Bag callout. Happy reading!
