I am NOT a fitness guru or even a fit person. But I thought it might be helpful to share some of the ways we're adding more mindful movement to our days. I've been trying to be more aware of how much time I spend sitting on my butt and challenging myself to get up and move. Even if that means just getting up to do some chores or something I've been putting off around the house. Or maybe pacing a little at work.

I've also been adding nighttime yoga to my bedtime routine. I'm not flexible at all but I've always loved yoga. BUT I get frustrated when I just jump into a random youtube class (see previous comment about my bendy limitations). I like the slower more restorative classes right now because they don't make me feel discouraged when I can't hit some crazy pose. I wanted to share two of the classes I found and I've been enjoying.

I'd love to hear what you all are doing

Paige (popthebutterfly) | 6 comments I'm doing something funky (again):

Cardio - 30 minutes in the morning, but am starting to go longer now. 1 minute at 1 speed/0 incline. 2 minutes at 1 speed/2 incline. 3 minutes at 1.5 speed/2 incline. 4 minutes at 1.5 speed/4 incline. 5 minutes at 2 speed/4 incline. 5 minutes at 2 speed/6 incline. 4 minutes at 2.2 speed (increasing to 2.4 speed next week)/6 incline. 3 minutes at 2.2 speed/3 incline. 2 minutes at 1.5 speed/3 incline. 1 minute at 1.5 speed/0 incline. 1 minute at 1 speed/0 incline. If I'm still trying to finish a chapter in my ebook I keep walking at 1 speed/0 incline until I'm done.

Then I have an additional exercise routine:

Mon - RingFit
Tues - Weights
Wed - RingFit
Thurs - just Cardio
Fri - just Cardio
Sat - Weights
Sun - Hiking/Long Walk at least 30 minutes

Doing these in the morning helps keep me in focus so I can do chores and then read more later on in the day.
