Original Coffee Shop discussion

"What do you want boy?" She whispered to herself. She didn't lower the arrow.

Teddy quickly spun around to see Inara standing right behind him. He didn't want to reveal that he had seen the girl out in the hallway, so he tried his best to act natural.
"Oh, no I didn't. I just thought I heard something in the hallway, but I was wrong. It was probably just a mouse, or the wind. The draft in here is terrible."

After Inara left, Teddy peered back into the hallway to see the girl. But this time she was looking at him, with her arrow nocked and ready to shoot.
"What are you doing back here?" He whispered back. "We're all supposed to be in there."

Veronica bristled. "I don't just walk into rooms full of random strangers like a fool." She raised the arrow a little higher and aimed for his head. "Now answer my question! Are you a werewolf?"

Teddy stepped back, he was taken by surprise to have an arrow aimed at him for asking a simple question.
"No, of course I'm not a werewolf! Do I look like a werewolf to you? Because if that's what you were implying than I'm deeply offended."
Teddy watched the girl with curious eyes, he couldn't tell if she was afraid or just truly this tough and harsh.
"Will you come in there with me? We could, uh, have an alliance or something."

Veronica lowered the bow. "Fine." She walked over and into the room.

Teddy rushed over to meet her. He liked that she seemed confident in herself.
"So, friends?" Teddy asked as he reached out his hand to shake.

Veronica glanced at his hand. She finally groaned and shook it firmly. "What is your name?"

"Teddy. And your's is...?"

"Veronica." She put the arrow away and placed her bow on her back.

"Okay." Teddy walks back into the room with Veronica.
He whispers, "They're all kinda odd just so ya know."

"I have no doubt about that." She followed Teddy into the room, keeping one hand on a knife concealed near her thigh.

Teddy and Veronica walked into the room, they received multiple stares, but returned none. Teddy didn't want any extra attention, but it was hard for him to conceal certain things, as in smart comments and mean looks.
"Do any of them scare you?" Teddy asked Veronica.

*Inara sees them, and walks over.*

“Hi! Who are you?”

*she notices the girl has here hand on a knife. Out of habit, she puts her own hand on her sword.*

Veronica looked at Teddy. "I don't scare easily." She looked at the girl and noticed that she had one hand on a sword. She checked her knife again. "The name is Veronica."

Teddy looked from Veronica to Inara, not knowing if Veronica disliked or liked Inara. He decided not to ask..yet.
"Did anything happen while I was gone?" Teddy asked Inara.

“Cool! I’m Inara. Nice to meet you.”

* sticks out hand to shake hers*

Veronica glared a little, but she shook Inara's hand.

*looks at Teddy*

“Nope. Everyone’s pretty silent. Seems no one wants to talk.”

"Phew! At least you guys aren't dangerous," Robyn managed after speculating.

Teddy looked over at Robyn and smiled, "I'm probably the least dangerous out of everyone, but I'm the most entertaining, that's for sure."

Veronica laughed at that. "You think I'm not dangerous?"

Veronica's comment took Teddy of guard, "I think you're plenty dangerous."

(Oh, I was responding to what Robyn said. I think we responded at the same time, but you're went first)

(Oh, I was actually responding to you, I saw your comment first. Teddy just said that because he didn't want any trouble, and he wants to be friends with Veronica)

Veronica examined all the others in the room. There was an angry looking boy standing next to a smiling girl, there was another boy who was fingering a knife, another two other girls, and one more boy standing next to a large creature.

Teddy nudged Veronica, "Told you they were odd."

Veronica glanced at him. He was right they were very odd. "I suppose all of us are odd to the others."

Veronica stated untrustworthily at everyone. It was her job to not trust people. She checked her knife again and her holster that held a pistol that was loaded.

Teddy noticed that Veronica kept checking her weapons. All of the sudden he felt threatened. Not by her, but by the others. They were staring, well more like glaring at them.
Teddy stepped closer to Veronica, "Robyn and Inara are fine, Ian is questionable, and the others, well, I don't know them. If you're gonna shoot someone, shoot Ian, he gets on my nerves," Teddy whispered to Veronica.

A ghost of a smile played on Veronica's lips. She decided that Teddy was okay I'm her book. "What I want to know is why all of us showed up at the same time."

Teddy looked back at Veronica, her face full of confidence and boldness, he wished he could be more like that.
He studied her, and then everyone else and thought to himself, I don't belong here.

After his little pity party, he looked at Veronica and said, "Um, that question has been asked a few times, we've never gotten a good answer."

Veronica looked around again. "Well someone wanted us all to be together in one place, and I don't like it. When things like this happen good people get killed." She blinked hard as if reliving a flash back.

Teddy looked at Veronica, shocked that she had said that so bluntly. He studied her face and saw that there was pain, like she was remembering something bad.
"It'll be fine." Teddy said in a comforting tone.

Teddy watched Ian and Ryenna as they talked. There was something strange about their relationship, but he couldn't tell what.
He also felt threatened by Ian, almost as if Ian had something against him, although Teddy had done nothing.
Teddy looked Ian in the eye and asked, "So, are you two brother and sister or..." His voice trailed off, he didn't want them to get the wrong idea.

Veronica looked at Ian. He seemed smug and very confident in his abilities. Too much confidence was the same thing as stupidity.

Teddy looked at Ian, and almost wondered how such a strong looking boy like him could have a soft spot for a girl. Ian didn't even look upset that Ryenna had just said it in front of everyone.
Teddy smirked at Ian, "Ah, I see, so that's why you're so protective of her."

Veronica covered her mouth with her hand to hide a smirk. Even she knew that Teddy has just crossed a line.

Veronica was bored with this conversation. She wanted something to happen, such as her questions being answered. "How did everyone get here? And why?"

Teddy smirked at Ian, he knew that he had gotten to his weak spot. Then he looked at Veronica to answer her question, "I was told by someone to meet people here, so I came. Not that interesting, how about you?"

Veronica's eyes got a stormy look in them. "I was tracking a werewolf and it led me here." She turned to look at the others. "Which is why I don't trust any of you. Any one of you could be a werewolf."
(that excludes Teddy since he proved he wasn't already)

Teddy quickly turns to Veronica. "You're a werewolf hunter!?!? I've heard of those before, but I never thought that they were real!!! So that'swhy you asked me out in the hallway if I was a werewolf. That makes sense."
Teddy obviously didn't make sense of things easily, that was his older sister's job, who wasn't here. Yet.

Veronica nodded. "Yes, I'm a werewolf hunter. So is my father and so was his father and his father. I am one of the few female werewolf hunters."
