Original Coffee Shop discussion

The girl got a fiery glint to her eye. She was competitive. The look reminded Kilied so much of Kirielle that he shivered. "By the way, it can only be killed through the use of a weapon made of silver. So unless your sword is pure silver, your going to need me. I've trained for this since I was ten, I know what I'm doing," she snapped, peering down the hallway. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
She slipped down the hallway, disappearing into shadows.
Kilied raised an eyebrow.
Pure silver, huh?
"Better leave this one to the girl, Comrade."
Kilied rolled his eyes. He knew of only one sword that was made of pure silver, and it wasn't his.
Yeah, I guess you're right. Unfortunately.
"And you're annoyed, so argument settled," Balorico chuckled.
Kilied huffed, ran a hand through his hair, and shifted into a more comfortable position to maintain the stagnant air.
As long as the werewolf didn't come down the hallway, everything would be just fine.

Teddy looked from Veronica to Tyler, he didn't know what to do. This was something Bethany would be good at, she wanted to be a doctor.
"Okay, Veronica. Let's go find this werewolf."

Veronica looked at Teddy. "Are you sure you want to come? This is no joke."

"Yes, please find her. She may be Tyler's only chance." Veronica looked at Ian and noticed that he seemed uncomfortable around all the blood.

Teddy looked at Ian, worried that he might not come back if he left. But it was Tyler's only chance, "Go Ian, go get her." Teddy said quickly before he changed his mind.

Kilied glanced at Ian.
The man was clearly uncomfortable with his powers.
Kilied sighed. That was typical. He'd got used to it when his sister decided that talking to the Dwarves about the Creator was actually a smart plan.
He'd given up a long time ago.

Veronica took Teddy aside. "When hunting a werewolf you must learn to be absolutely silent, to blend with the shadows, and you have to know how to use your weapon. How well can you do these three things?"

*Inara peaks around the corner. She had hoped that she would find a staircase, but nope just another hallway.*
“Hmmmm” *she sighs* “which way to go?”

Veronica suddenly shot up and jumped into position. Another howl echoed in the castle. She grabbed Teddy. "If your sure you want to help me than come on!"

A howl echoed through the castle, and Kilied tensed. Balorico huffed air beside him, exuding a frustrating calm that Kilied wished he could have.
He felt entirely useless, so he just concentrated on maintaining and thickening the ice. This was not his strong point.

Penelope looked around, “I guess this is the way.” She heard the howl and shivered. “That can’t be too good.” Penelope ran down the hall and looked around. She looked up and noticed a trapdoor. She looked at Inara, “Is there someway you can attach some rope to your arrow and pull that down?”

“Ummm. I think so! Do you have a rope?”

*Inara heard the Howl again, and shivered.*

“ whatever is going on over there, I hope no one gets hurt.”

“I believe so,” Penelope searched her pockets and finally found a piece of rope. “Here.”

*Takes the rope. Grabs an arrow, and ties the rope tightly around the head of the arrow.
She Aims the bow, and shoots. It lands center in the trap door. She pulls down hard. The trap door opens, and the ladder connected to it falls.*

“Well, I guess that worked. Want to go first?”

Kilied glanced up as Ian ran into the room, leading Ryenna. Her long auburn hair streamed out behind the cloth wrapped around her head, and Kilied was struck by how elvish she looked.
She glanced at Kilied, then the ice around Tyler's chest, and nodded, her blue eyes glinting.
She didn't even look surprised.
The action reminded Kilied of Kirielle and he looked away. He hadn't seen his twin in too long, and it was starting to eat at him.
"Jyx-fu-lun, my maker and savior, the one who makes my hands steady for work and binds the wounds of the weak, the one who holds power over all, who formed my substance before the foundations of creation were laid, heal this man and help me to do your work."
Jyx-who?
Whoever it was, Kilied tensed. The way she was talking sounded disconcertingly similar to how Kirielle prayed to Yahciyle.
Another fanatic?
"Let it go, Kilied. I'm one of the fanatics too, ya know," Balorico huffed.
Kilied swallowed.
"So be your will," Ryenna said, and Ian echoed her.
"So be your will," Balorico added. Kilied barely restrained the eye-roll.
Ryenna reached into her basket and drew out a needle with thread. Kilied stared at it.
Lovely.
He forced the flashback away before it could start. Now was really not the time.
"I assume that once you take that off, he'll start bleeding out again," Ryenna said.
Kilied nodded stiffly.
"I'm going to try and staunch some of the bleeding and use some of this-" she shook a small packet of dried material that Kilied couldn't identify. "To clot the blood. I can't use too much. Then I'll sew it, clean it, and bind it. If I'm to do this, I'll need to be quick. I need your help. Both of you."
Kilied nodded. He'd seen a similar thing done when Halaron had made the ice shield around the mortally wounded elf.
He and the healer had had to completely sync their movements, and the elf still almost bled out.
Kilied groaned inwardly.
Communication was not his strong point.
"Just tell me when," he said quietly.

Veronica watched silently as Ryenna got to work. "Please don't die Tyler." She whispered quietly.

((LOL meanwhile I'm like "if you're bleeding out, you're cool. Now don't die and I'm going to get you to a hospital." Which may or may not be the reason why the main character in a half-formed world that lives in the back of my mind is a healer. I hate needles though too...))

Veronica watched as Ryenna expertly patched up Tyler's chest. His bleeding was slowing and he seemed to be breathing.

Teddy looked around nervously, this wasn't something that he was used to. He was tense and scared.
Veronica kept herself together, while he was basically shaking in fear. But, at the same time, he wanted to do this. So he shook off the fear, and gained confidence. I can do this he thought to himself.
Teddy looked Veronica in the eyes and said, "Let's go."

Veronica nodded at him. She glanced at Tyler one last time and turned down into the hall. The howl had come from this direction. "The truck when hunting werewolves is these three things. Silence, Shadows, and Speed. Hunt quietly, use the shadows to your advantage, and kill it with speed. For all that?"

Teddy looked over at Veronica, or what he could see of her in the dark hallway, her eyes were filled with hunger for revenge and confidence. He tried his best to match her attitude, but no matter what, there was always that little voice inside of him that told him that he had every reason to be scared out of his mind.
"I got it." he said quickly. "And also, Tyler will be okay. I know he will."

"I hope so" she whispered. She pressed herself against the wall and her dark clothes blended with the shadows. "Do you have any idea how to use the knife I have you?" She pulled out her own.

Teddy followed Veronica's lead, doing everything she did, making sure to be flawless.
He looked down at the knife she'd given him, "Um, sorta."

"Just try to stab the werewolf with it." She sneaked along the hall and ended up in a side room. "I wonder what this place is?" She said as she looked around.

"Okay." Teddy said as they snuck in the halls in search of this beast. It didn't matter how strong Teddy tried to be, he was scared out of his mind, he'd never had to deal with a creature like this. Mostly just mummies and insane treasure hunters.
As they entered the side room Veronica said, "I wonder what this place is?" as she looked around.
Teddy observed the place as well. It was strange. With markings on the wall in a different language, and weird paintings. It was eerie.
"This must've been some sort of artist's room." Teddy said as he picked up an old paint pallet.
BOOM
Teddy jumped as he heard the loud noise. He turned to Veronica, "What was that?!?"

Veronica immediately pulled out her pistol and loaded it. "I don't know what that was, but it can't be good." She walked over to the door and listened. "I don't hear anything else. Do you?"

Teddy looked around, "No, that was weird. Almost as if someone knocked something over as they were running."
Teddy came to the door and ever so slightly opened it to peer into the hall.
"I don't see anything either."

Veronica shoved him down as the werewolf leaped into the room! It snarled and howled. It's wolfish humanoid figure took up the back of the room. It's yellow eyes glowed with evil.

Teddy, on the floor, just about had a break down. The wolf's eyes, they were filled with evil and seeking destruction. Teddy pulled his knife out, "Veronica, promise me that we can end this once and for all."

Veronica pulled out her pistol. "No sudden movements" she whispered. She cocked the pistol, took aim, and fired! BANG! The bullet soared into the werewolf And it howled in pain. It fell on the ground and writhed in agony. Veronica stood by and watched. The werewolf turned, leaped with the last of its strength, and slashed Veronica across the face. Then it fell to the ground and died.

Teddy was not only in shock, but in horror. He'd seen more blood this single day then in his whole life. He quickly got up and rushed over to Veronica to see her face.
"Good Lord, you're bleeding bad. We need to get you back upstairs to Ryenna." Teddy said as he tried to help her up.

Veronica touched her hand to her face. The wound would scar deeply, but no matter. She stood up woozily. "It's dead right? Tell me it's dead."

Teddy was more worried about getting Veronica to help, but to ease her mind he said, "Yes, it's very, very dead. But please, we need to get you to Ryenna, you need to get that wounded tended to."

Penelope nodded, “Sure.” She grabbed the ladder and shook it lightly, just to make sure it was secure. Then, she began to climb.

Veronica took Teddy's hand and she walked slowly out of the room. "I can't believe it's dead already. Usually they are much harder to kill, unless they are playing the bait for another werewolf."

Teddy helped Veronica through the halls, it wasn't too much farther to get to Ryenna, where she was helping Tyler.
"What do you mean, bait?" Teddy asked with a hint of concern in his voice.

"Well, if there was a female and a male werewolf, then if the female was in danger the male would play the bait so she could get away." Veronica froze as she heard what she said. "Oh my gosh, there is another werewolf still." She slumped onto the ground.

Teddy stood still, in awe. Seriously? Another one? he thought. He tried to be positive for Veronica's sake.
"We still need to get you some help," he said, reaching for her hand, "When we get there, we'll warn the others and when you're better, we'll kill the other one too." He tried to sound optimistic, but his voice sounded tired and sad.
