I would like to add 'The Dark Elf Trilogy' or Homeland if your only adding one book to represent the series. When Salvatore wrote the Icewind Dale Trilogy it became a huge hit and was imported to PC. However, fans wanted to know more about his dark elf character and because of popular decree, he went back into a prequel to create the world of the drow.
Mezzoberranzan is fantastic in its respect to worldbuilding. Drizz't has even appeared in video games himself. Its another work that has influenced the fantasy fans since its release.

To add books: Click on the "Add Books to This List" at the top of the List, then search for your book, or you can add books from a particular shelf. (Sometimes that's faster if you have all the ones you want to add in one spot.) Click "Vote for this book" and it will be added to the list.
I probably should have added directions to the top post. I'll do that now. Go forth and have fun adding must read books!

I would especially appreciate it if you would add a comment if you are adding more than one book from a series to explain why the sequel also needs to be on the list. Please also try to be judicious about that and only do it if you really must. Lists that are all the books from one or two popular series are boring and we already have enough of those on Goodreads. I see we already have four books from Discworld on the fantasy list.

Thank you, Amy- I hadn't known how to do it before, but now Ido :)

Please let me know if you think of anything else I should add to the header. Otherwise, please have fun voting for the canon books of SFF!
Edited to add instructions for adding books to the Listopias: To add books: Click on the "Add Books to This List" at the top of the List, then search for your book, or you can add books from a particular shelf. (Sometimes that's faster if you have all the ones you want to add in one spot.) Click on "Vote for this book" next to the book you are adding. The list needs a moment to retabulate, but it will add the book you clicked after a minute or two.
To add a comment to your vote: On the left hand side of your screen, you will see your personal list of votes. In the blank box under "Why you added this book," type your comment.
