RULES:

Once a prompt is started your team MUST post all ten books for that prompt before starting on another prompt.

Prompts can be completed in any order that the team wants. *see next rule*

Prompts cannot be completed one after the other of the same prompt. Meaning if you complete the ‘exercise’ prompt you must complete a different prompt before going back to exercise.

While working on your current prompt all tasks are repeatable. Meaning if your team is working on ‘Lose Weight’ and you have a book that works for ‘MC is plus sized’ but someone else on your team also has a book for that category, you may both post for that category while you’re still working on the ‘Lose Weight’ prompt. This means that your team could potentially post more than 10 books while working on one prompt. **However, as soon as the 10th category is posted for your team must move onto the next prompt.**

For this challenge, all members MUST complete the “How It Fits” when posting their books on their teams review thread.

You click on the "add book/author" link above the comment box, then type the book you want and select "add: cover".

You just need to post your reviews on the review thread and select a prompt that your book fits within the category we're working at the moment. There's also a spreadsheet to organize our books, so we can complete categories faster. The links to the reviews thread and the spreadsheet are on the first comment :D

There is a team spreadsheet. If your book works for one of the categories, just add your book and name in the space. There is a banked book section too, to add any books that may work for the second round of a task. It will make more sense once we get started.

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments Okay so what happens if multiple people choose a book for a prompt? Can we not do that? Is the goal for us to all chose different prompts? If so - what’s the best way for us to arrange that? I’m sorry to ask so many questions.

the goal is to complete as many categories as we can in the next 3 months. We'll use the spreadsheet to track which ones are done. Most of these prompts are broad so it's very easy to move books around.

Basically, just read what you're going to read and when you finish a book we'll find it a spot.

message 28: by Naomi (new)

Naomi | 588 comments Good afternoon! Happy New Year y'all. Looking forward to this challenge with everyone. I added a book section to the SS, so we can see who is reading for which prompts. If your book fits for a prompt that is already completed for a round, no worries, it may fit for a different category, or you can add it to the banked books for the next round!

Naomi | 588 comments I think I misinterpreted the rules. We can only do one category at a time. I was thinking it was anything on round 1, sorry. I will edit my posts. Which one do y'all want to start on?

I think if you can find one category that works for the books you've posted so far, we can all go with it.

Yeah I have a feeling this is one of those ones where we'll have a lot of books finished but not posted right away.

message 35: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 10329 comments I can move the two I finished yesterday to fit into the Get a Promotion category if we want to start with that.

Also if someone finishes something before we move on from a category, just post all the details in the banked books and someone will post it.

message 36: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 10329 comments It looks like we're almost done with the Get a Promotion category. I'll finish Little Bird tonight and can try to finsh a country of ghosts asap, otherwise I'm totally okay with moving that one somewhere else if someone has a book that fits.

I think once we finish this one we should go to Start a Diet.

that should be fine I still have 100 pages of A country of ghosts. I only have a physical copy so this one is a lot slower to finish. Should be done by tomorrow as well tho

Start a Diet is next as all tasks are done except for 1 (which I will have finished/reviewed later today). I'm not sure what we're going with after that. Maybe Drink More Water since that has the most tasks claimed?

message 45: by Kade (new)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments okay, i promise i'm not trying to be useless here. but i'm SO confused. I just finished a book that i can make work for a prompt we aren't working on, and it's not yet claimed on that prompt spreadsheet, do i put the book there and claim it with my name for when we do get to that prompt like others have done? and then we are on that prompt i post the review?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but yeah. You can claim a book if there's an empty space and then check the boxes when you finish reading. You just wouldn't be able to post your review into the review thread until we're working on that prompt. But you can place the details of that book and the prompt it fits in the "banked" tab of the spreadsheet.

Yep, just fill in the info on the spreadsheet next to the task you want and check the first checkbox to mark that you've completed the book. Then you can add all the info to the banked books tab so when we get to that section if you aren't on then someone else can post the book for you.
