Hello team! Does anyone have any books that work for our specific tasks or no?

Basket #1: Appetizer
1. Baby Octopus: ‘Baby’ in text (pg/% & quote) OR 8 in page count
2. Bok Choy: Letters B,O,K,C,H,O,Y in title/series title OR Set in Asia
3. Oyster Sauce: Brown cover (75%) OR Author initials in OYSTER
4. Smoke Paprika: Features a character who smokes OR Read a book tagged ‘Spicy’
5. Other foods being added: please see below

REMEMBER:
*You only have to complete one of the two tasks for each ingredient.
*You have access to a stocked refrigerator and pantry. In order to use the ingredient that you want, you will need to find it with a book. Whether in text or on the cover.
*For example, if your team wants to use apples in your dish. You will need to either find “apple” in text or read a book with an apple on the cover.
*If you can’t find the item you want to use, you may read a book from any of the Food Book Lists. (When reading a book from this, please add the link to the list it is on and what item you are using. It doesn’t have to be found in text or on the cover either.)

I have a book that works for baby in text.

I'm reading Malibu Rising, and I'm really at the beginning so I didn't pay much attention but I'll see if it can work for smoke paprika (features a character who smokes). I'll probably find a character at some point.

I'm thinking we could probably do like a soup for our appetizer using the four ingredients. Maybe?

Like a grilled octopus and spicy bok choy soup sort of thing?

So, for other ingredients we could gather:
Oil - peanut or vegetable
Garlic
Shallots
Broth - vegetable or chicken
Ginger
Shiitake mushrooms (or just mushrooms in general)
Rice noodles (or just noodles in general)
and maybe (just maybe) chili paste? but we can totally just keep it at paprika level too.

What do you guys think?

I honestly forgot we could add other ingredients to the dish hahaha but I like the idea of making a soup, I'll see what I can find for the ingredients.

I am about to finish , but it doesn't fit those tasks. It does mention "oil", but it is referring to crude oil, not cooking oil. Do you think we could interpret that to mean cooking oil? I don't want to accidentally poison our dish, lmao. I could just bank it.

I just finished a book that mentions both "vegetables" and "water" - maybe we could use it to make our own vegetable broth? Or if that would count as two ingredients, we could combine it with another book that mentions vegetables or water.

Hey guys, I need to do a couple of things this morning - like scores and such. So, after I'm all caught up in GR life and work life I will look to see if any of my books that I've read work for our remaining tasks/ingredients!

I finished The Love Hypothesis yesterday, but it doesn't work for the appetizer, so I'm waiting until we get to the next one to post it.
