Still Life by Sara Winman

Beautiful story set mostly in Florence stretching from 1940 to 1990s with rich characters Ulysses,Peg,Cress etc and not forgetting Claude the parrot

It is - I’d kept that one until last hoping it would be a 5 star and can highly recommend it
