Rich Boulton (rich_boulton) Just watched this low budget sci fi film from last year and really enjoyed it. Reminded me a lot of Primer, though it's not quite as mind bending and complicated as that was. I'd highly recommend giving it a go - I don't want to reveal too much about the story because figuring it out is half the fun, but it follows eight people at a dinner party while a comet passes overhead and weird things start to happen.

Also it has Xander from Buffy, what else do you need?

It sounds intriguing. It looks like the kind of movie I would enjoy.

Though it doesn't seem to be on iTunes, which is annoying :-?

Trike | 11202 comments I had to look it up, but now that I see it I recall the trailer.

Looks like it's free with Amazon Prime, DVD-only on Netflix.

Rich Boulton (rich_boulton) I'm in the UK and rented it from Google Play, well worth the 3.50.

Totally agree Anish. You would expect that the big budgets of Hollywood would be a huge advantage for making the best sci fi films, and genre stuff is definitely in vogue at the moment, but there's been a steady stream of excellent indie fare the past few years, with this, Primer (and Upstream Colour), Europa Report, just off the top of my head, which are completely showing the studios up.

John (Nevets) Nevets (nevets) | 1903 comments From the trailer it seems more scary movie then detective movie, is that correct? Or is the trailer misleading?

Thanks,

Rich Boulton (rich_boulton) There's a couple of slight jumps, but no, it's not a horror in the least, despite some of the descriptions I've seen.
