I think this one is slated for Souvenirs but just in case wanted to point out there is a small character Xavier who was in 2 scenes - not sure if it's quite enough to count as a character but if it is, now you know if you need to move things around :-)

LaurLa | 1005 comments To be fair and transparent, not sure I will get another white cover done but is this one brown enough - can we do that instead?
Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton

Also, I still need to read Bloodfever this week which could work as a Fantasy painting, is Guarding Kelsey pink enough to move to the Walls?

I need to squeeze in both Bloodfever and Marked this week, so let me know either way.

Eldarwen | 5004 comments I'm not quite sure on Marked being brown, to be honest. Looks like a bit of a mish-mash between brown and orange on my screen.

Bloodfever is good for the fantasy painting.

But don't worry about the Marked cover! We're good on the tasks. Somehow we've managed to read even more of them than we initially seemed to have thought and a couple of us are still reading a few so we're absolutely covered for the mini tasks :-)

Anything beyond the ones marked on the spreadsheet are just extra and will give the possibility of potentially moving things around to maximise points.

Lots of Reverse cards this time around and a lot of Draw 2 cards as well, which may dip a fair bit into our points unfortunately, but it will mean reading less cards.

A few things have changed ;-)
You will notice once you look at the spreadsheet hehe.

A little something about that, you can read here (Wild Draw 4 cards have been replaced by Overload cards).

Eldarwen | 5004 comments It seems like this is finally the year where I can read all those colour books I've been keeping aside for these special cards haha. The yellow in March and now the 7 Blue in April ;-)

I'll read The Archived (The Archived, #1) by Victoria Schwab for the 7 Blue.

I'll also read Last Breath (The Morganville Vampires, #11) by Rachel Caine for one of the Overload cards unless some of your are dying to read some cover colours that fit. :-)

I could read The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly for the 0 Red.

If we think that Wolf Rain (Psy-Changeling Trinity, #3; Psy-Changeling, #18) by Nalini Singh is green enough, I think it should work for the Skip Green. I would be surprised if there wasn't a K or P character somewhere in there.

If we think that The Trials of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor, #1) by Jessica Townsend is blue enough, I could read that for the 1 Blue. (verified this to be 89k+ words)

Tina | 768 comments I have two chapters left of Akutbjällran, set in Sweden. Should I finish it or wait a few days so we can use it in April instead? Do we have what we need? Or we need it for our regular cards?
If we need another book with a pink cover, we can also switch Akutbjällran for Tango i tabernaklet ( Tango i tabernaklet by Karin Brunk Holmqvist ).

I will take a look at our cards for next month and let you know what I have:)

We'll probably need it for the regular cards, depending on how much else will still be incoming in the next 5 days. :-)

But then again, a pink cover brings slightly more points than a country setting, so...... if you're willing to switch, switch away!

I'll start shouting if we don't get enough books to fill up the regular cards and we'll need your Sweden book as well hehe.

I'm not entiiiiirely sure about the red one because the black is quite present, the other two are good though.

Do you have a preference for which one you'd like to read or are you itching to read all of them?

message 774: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I'll get my books up soon. Just a quick note. I'll be out of town from April 1 to April 10th ish. I will have internet but I'll potentially be stuck to the app depending on if I bring my laptop. This also means I'll be stuck to ebooks because if I pack physical books, I won't have any room left for clothes haha.

So I'll probably split my books into what I can read before the 10th and then after :)

message 775: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Thanks for the heads-up, Stacie!

Don't worry about posting your completions here until after you return if the app is too much of a pain (which it generally is) :-)

Haha, besides needing to pack clothes, you'll probably also want to leave a little space for potential new books you might be buying... ;-))

Also - what is everyone's take on this cover... red or pink??

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Skip Red - Omens (Cainsville, #1) by Kelley Armstrong or My Dad's Best Friend (A Touch of Taboo, #3) by Katee Robert

Skip Blue - The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller (ch Patroclus) -- after April 11

Skip Yellow - Loathe at First Sight by Suzanne Park

Skip Green - Origins (Alphas, #0.5) by Ilona Andrews ch - Karina

1 Blue - Capture the Crown (Gargoyle Queen, #1) by Jennifer Estep -- after April 11 (also works for 8 blue)

8 Blue - This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills

Here's what I can do reverse wise:

In Bed with Mr. Wrong (Out of Uniform, #1) by Katee Robert - read by LaurLa
Private Practice (Private Pleasures, #1) by Samanthe Beck - read by LaurLa
Point of No Return (Turning Point, #1) by N.R. Walker - read by E and ST

I know there are more but either GR or my internet is being painfully slow and I can't take it anymore so I'll be back with more reverses later.

It's ... Strange. In retrospective, i suppose they were working to get into the multiverse. It has a lot of parallel realities and a little bit of time traveling. So if you don't like that, then you won't like it.
