I read that so long ago I no longer remember what it was about or any of the events. What I do remember is that and If You Could See Me Now made me so anxious to read Straub's Ghost Story that I bought the hard cover at a time when I didn't have that much cash for buying hard covers.

Etchison is an all-time favorite of mine. Talking in the Dark: Selected Stories is a great book, while It Only Comes Out at Night & Other Stories is the all-inclusive collected stories for the completist. His novels aren’t as widely praised, though I must say I really liked California Gothic and Shadowman. An absolute master. And yet when he died his friends has to start a Go Fund Me to raise enough money to help his widow get him properly buried. Sigh.

Adolf Hitler The Ultimate Avatar by Miguel Serrano

Continued studies in Esteric Hitlerism. This time, the archetypes of Jungian psychoanalysis are playing a bigger role. It has been five years since I finished reading The Golden Thread: Esoteric Hitlerism.

I think goes something like this: Adolf Hitler is actually alive and well inside the hollow Earth and will return soon to the surface with a fleet of nazi UFOs to lead mankind into a new golden age.

Have you seen the Iron Sky movies?! (view spoiler)

message 532: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I have. I was actually quite impressed about the effort they put into getting the conspiracy theory lore right.

Steven Rigolosi | 16 comments Just finished The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells . Amazing to see how the alien invasion genre began. Quite unexpectedly gruesome in some ways. My only regret is, I wish I'd had an illustrated edition with the original art, which I looked up on the Web and which is amazing.

Ohh nice! I read the sequel last year, crazy good.

I'm actually reading his Wolf Hunt trilogy right now, it's gory, so clever and also really witty, I keep laughing even though nothing "funny" is happening.

This was the cover of my paperback but its out of print, the ebook has a new cover that's less cool lol.
