Spiderman No Way Home is the next movie in the Marvel Spiderman Universe. Directed by Jon Watts, this movie is pretty good, especially if you’ve been a long time Spiderman fan. The movie starts in New York, where Peter Parker’s identity was revealed to all of the world after Mysterio had revealed it and died. Immediately there is a lot of outrage as everyone believes Peter killed Mysterio, who was their hero. Half of the world hated Spiderman, the other half still supported him. Immediately, he and Aunt May have to evacuate since everyone knows where he lives and who he is now.
After a while, he manages to return to school. Again, half of the people and teachers there supported him, the others did not. It’s rough for Peter, but he still tries to deal with it. Later, he, MJ, and Nedd are receiving their college acceptance letters, after being declined from so many, they all finally got their MIT letters. However to much disappointment, the three of them were all declined due to the recent controversy and their affiliation with Spiderman. Peter realizes that his identity being revealed didn’t just harm his life, but it harmed others as well. So, he goes to Doctor Strange.
He asks Doctor Strange if there was a way he could turn back time and prevent Mysterio from revealing his identity, but he is reminded that the Time Stone was destroyed. Doctor Strange however does tell Peter that there is a spell that could make everyone in the world forget his identity, but it was a risky one. They proceed with it anyway. However, while Doctor Strange was casting the spell, Peter continuously made requests to the spell causing Doctor Strange to keep changing it, lose focus, and eventually lead to the spell becoming unstable. Doctor Strange manages to contain it shortly after, and sends Peter to talk to the head of MIT for re-evaluation for him, MJ, and Nedd to be accepted into the college. However, he then realizes that the spell caused major damage, and it’s now up to him, MJ, and Nedd to save the universe.
This movie was really good. It was a little bit overhyped, yes, but it was still really good regardless. The twists and turns throughout the movie were so unexpected, and the directors did a really good job with the script and making it pull on our heartstrings. The fights were really good and intense, and the movie was pretty funny at times too. It was also really sad, as I kind of stated earlier. In general, if you’re a huge Spiderman fan, you MUST watch it. It’s so good.
