Steve Harrison (stormingtime) | 77 comments I have just under a thousand people listed as 'to read' for my first novel. No doubt most have forgotten (I have lots of books listed myself), but they were presumably interested enough to tick the box when they learned about the book.

Is there any mechanism on Goodreads to remind them?

Christine L. Henderson (christinelhenderson) | 206 comments I'm not aware of that being an option. I just checked my own "to read" list and whittled by 27 down to 7 as I don't even recall what interest I had in those 20 books. So, as you can see, just because a book is in the "to read" doesn't mean it will ever lead to the "read" section.

I did take a look at your book, Timestorm. Great cover and an intriguing plotline. Did you notice how many other books have that exact title? That might be another reason the book got lost. However, you are blessed to have 47 reviews/ratings not everyone leaves reviews -- except for other authors who know how important they are!!

Tilly Wallace (tillywallace) | 86 comments No. And it’s against GR’s TOS for authors to contact people who have marked your book as TBR.

Steve Harrison (stormingtime) | 77 comments Thanks for your replies, Christine & Tilly.

I would never contact anyone this way, but I wondered if there was an acceptable means of giving them a nudge :)

I am aware of the other books with the same title - this was discussed at length with the publisher - and it does not appear to have affected sales generally or caused any confusion. And, yes, I'm very happy with the response here and elsewhere.

But those 983 potential readers jump out at me every time I go on Goodreads!
