In this one, they go to a literary festival. Horowitz is disappointed to find he isn't going to New York or Paris, but to a tiny channel island with a bunch of unknown authors. And actually everyone wants to meet Hawthorne, not him. A murder occurs, of course, and it seems everybody on the island had a reason to hate the victim. The crime seems to be solved with a chapter or two to go, so you know there will be another twist. There is also another clue in the ongoing mystery of Hawthorne's past. I enjoy this series a lot, and I think it's great fun that Horowitz puts himself into it. (He enjoys it to, as became evident in the Zoom interview conducted with him last year by our own Book Concierge.)
