Play Book Tag discussion

I read the first two books in this series a few years ago, and I wish I had re-read them before starting this book, as they would probably have answered a few of the questions I had about this story. The book details the final 15 years of Cicero’s life, and is told by Tiro, Cicero’s scribe. Cicero spent quite a bit of this time in exile, and so he was distanced from most of the events covered in this book. I think the book would have been more exciting had Cicero been involved in the middle of the events. I have enjoyed other books by this author, but I just wasn’t as invested in this book, and I found that it didn’t have the same excitement and flow to the story that I have come to expect from Harris.
