Here are my December reads:

Good Reads

The Other Black Girl - Zakiya Dalila Harris
An interesting first novel set in the publishing world. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Aja Naomi King, Joniece Abbott-Pratt, Heather Alicia Simms, and Bahni Turpin.

The Girl Who Died - Ragnar Jónasson
Very atmospheric suspense set in a small remote village in Iceland. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Amanda Redman.

The Secret House of Death - Ruth Rendell
A nicely done tale of domestic suspense written in the late sixties. Listened to the audio version which was well narrated by Simon Russell Beale.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16933 comments Happy New year Sandi! three very good audio books for you this month. I agree, The Other Black Girl was a very interesting first novel. I am still not sure how to characterize it and was tempted to put it on my top list.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9490 comments Sandi I'm glad you enjoyed The Girl Who Died. I had set it aside when I heard it wasn't a traditional murder mystery. Also glad you liked The Other Black Girl.
