I'm selecting The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens this week as I'm trying to use this challenge to read more of the classics. I've not read any Dickens apart from A Christmas Carol and I think that the time has come to remedy that.
I have seen an adaptation of this on TV and I found it really funny so I'm keen to see if I feel the same way about the book version. It's also available for free on Project Gutenberg so I don't need to worry about adding to my groaning bookshelves. ;-)
Hi Cait, I'm reading The Pickwick Papers now, still for Week 6. It has been a slow read for me. It's humorous but long-winded. I'm glad I'm reading it but will also be glad when I'm finished with it!
I've chosen this one as well for this week. I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't actually finished a Dickens book yet (I started Oliver Twist), so this was a no-brainer for me!
I finally finished this book this morning. I'm glad I read it but I'm also glad I'm finished with it. I enjoyed the characters, but tired of the lengthy descriptions!
