The ending of The Hunger Games

I actually really liked it. I feel like it was a bit rushed, many things happened in a few pages and... I felt that a few more pages would've made the things that happen in the last chapters better.
The actual ending and the epilogue were really good too. I know many people wanted it to be... sad or idk, different. But I really liked the way that it was done, because finally they were happy, after the horrible things they went trough, they were happy, but at the same time not everything is perfect. The bad memories still there, and the lost of their loved ones still hurt, but they have to keep going, that's what happen in real life. I feel like.. the epilogue make everything more realistic.
To be honest, I really wanted to know what happen to Gale after Mockingjay, the love triangle thing was not something that I wanted to see on those last pages but I wanted to know more about his life, and job, and maybe show a little more of the districts, but the ending was okay without that anyways.

I was just so not okay with what happened to Prim! I needed something to counterbalance that, to see Katniss reach some inner acceptance or something, and the ending didn't do that, so I was left in a state of dejection for some time afterwards!
I also couldn't help but feel that Peeta's love for Katniss was forever affected by the hijacking. Like he would never feel quite the same. I'm not sure that that was intended, but I couldn't shake that perception in my head, and there wasn't anything major in the ending to disprove it for me. So that added to my overall depression!
I wouldn't necessarily say it was a bad ending, as I'm sure it was realistic, but it wasn't satisfying!

Some people are crazy about everything in the book, some are disappointed in the ending. What do you think? Was it a good ending? Why or why not? feel free to share your thoughts and feelings
